New York Daily News columnist Mike Lupica, quoting sources close to slugger Alex Rodriguez, wrote Wednesday that A-Rod may return to the New York Yankees.
Lupica wrote: There are people close to the player, closer than Boras right now, who believe he is ready to do it and do it soon. That he knows he's not going to break all the world's records the way he did when he went to Texas. That what the Yankees were fully prepared to offer, a deal that could have gone to a total value of $230 million over the next eight years, was the best one he was going to get.
Lupica added: It would mean Rodriguez has figured out that even Boras can over-promise sometimes and under-deliver, that there is no $350 million offer out there and was never going to be. More importantly, he realizes how much Boras damaged him and damaged him a lot by having him walk away from his Yankee contract without even giving the Yankees a chance to come to the table.

Without A-Rod, they wont make the playoffs. With A-Rod, they will go nowhere in the playoffs. Poor Yankees.

He is indeed back with the yanks. The way him and his agent handled all this was a disgrace. Announcing he wont return to NY during the world series, taking the spotlight away from guys who deserve it. Now coming back after no one was willing to pay him his salary. Classless

I hate boston also. But really, cmon your talkin about a guy who is complaining about 250 million dollars, and annoucing it during the world series to get attention. BTW Joe torre is one of the most over rated coaches, he has failed in the last 6 years with stacked lineups. Mets will win world series,,peaceeeeeee
