The name of her shop is high voltage in hollywood..she's overpriced (something like $250/hour) and she's overated. And even if you make it on the tv show you still have to pay for the tattoo. It really depends on what style of tattoo and what area of cali you are in.

well, I'm in SoCali that's why I asked for artists in SoCal... as for where in SoCal.. I'm flexible. I am more into J-art.. koi/dragons/nature scenes; some tribal interwoven a little maybe... I have a specific back scene I want but I'm waiting to see if I can afford to go to Japan for a couple months to have it done traditionally... we'll see.

ok bro, im a local and i got 23 tats at over 40hrs of work. a lot of my friends are tattoo artists but i wouldnt go to them if they paid me. it pays to go to a reputable, clean, talented shop. a couple years ago a number of the top artists from all over socal got together and opened up their own shop. jon hall, sparky, johnny 2/3, pepe ruiz, and a handful of others who all have tons of work in magazines, and each specializing in certain areas johnny-traditional, jon-japanese, sparky-flash, etc. the shop is called Yer Cheatin Heart and its located in Gardena on Normandie and Redondo Beach blvd. across from the hustler casino. these guys are some of the best and if you go in there youll see what i mean. its worth checking out. every friend i have sent wont go to anyone else and i personally have been going to pepe ruiz for 7 years.
