I totally agree Edmonton has better teams. I'm originally from there, I moved to Banff 6 years ago.

Oh I didn't even notice your location says Canmore. I love that area. I used to ski at Nakiska every spring break.

A hole? Hardly. I'm on the road for 150+ days a year (all over Canada, some of US) and Edmonton is still one of my favorite cities.

Well, if you like to live in a city with a very high per capita violent crime rate, then Edmonton would be your best bet. If you look at stats, then Edmonton isn't even on the same field as Calgary. Edmonton has higher poverty, higher taxes, ect., lower employment rate, lower employment growth, ect. Edmonton was, at one time, the economic powerhouse of Alberta. This, of course, was when Edmonton became the Capital. Now adays though, the two cities have really turned around. However, Edmonton has some nice areas to live in, and not many people care about stats when choosing a city to live in.

    Near Red Deer?

I agree that both kick ass. I used to love the nightlife in Calgary before Electric Avenue went lame.
