    Question how much for an engine

    hey guys im doing up my holden commodore and i want to put a 350 chev into it, now they cost about $1400NZ here so thats about $680US do you guys think you can get one any cheaper by the time i factor in freight?hell if there are any mean but cheap V8 cars in the USA i might import the whole thing. At this stage im just exploring my options, thanks guys/gals..........HITMAN

    no i really dont think you can get on cheaper in the US. The cheapest i have seen is about 700.

    If its a rebuilt 350 4 bolt main...jump on it!

    You can get cheap LX and GT mustangs for 1000-3500 US dollars....I dont know how much it would cost to ship them. They only have a 302 ci engine but are fairly quick. PLus you can mod the hell out of them.

    Jammer - yeah its 4 bolt and recond, the guy is part of the local hotrod scene and he wants to put a big block in his buick but wants a buyer lined up before he commits the cash to it. Sir - that would come to 2200-8000 plus about 900 shipping and around 800nz dollars to get certified. it still works out cheaper than buying here, some people advertise notchbacks for upto 30.000. i guess ill go the 350 motor untill i get bored lol............HITMAN

    Yeah man go with the 350,cheap parts and loads of horsepower you just cant beat it!302 are only worth a shit if you get all the eletronics right out of a GT,if not dont waste your time.If you want some good torque get 400 cam bearings and a 400 crank and build it up to a 383.
