Hey all Kazaa users....

Hey guys, I know that this question has absolutely nothing to do with A/R, or bodybuilding for that matter, I’m probably gonna catch hell from the mods for this, but I’m really stuck and have nowhere else to turn. I’ve been downloading from Kazaa for several months now and everything has been going great. Recently though, I’ve downloaded a few Video clips that are coming through without and sound. Everything that I search for tells me that I’m missing a codec file in order to get the audio I need, but I’ll be damned if I can figure out which one. I’ve looked into the properties of the file for the codec needed, but have come up empty handed. I’ve tried playing them through DivX, Windows Media Player, Real Player One……still no dice.

I need all of you keyboard couch potatoes to band together and tell me how to capture my much needed audio.

The Porn just isn’t the same without all of the groans and screams.

OK, I'm gonna label myself as a geek here, but what i've been dowloading lately are episodes of "Angel" (Buffy the Vampire Slayer Spin-off). I've been going through them from the beginning and I'm not even finished the first season yet and half of them are coming in with no volume. Has anyone else had this problem. Or am I the only spazz on the board.

What I've been downloading is more geekish and I won't even mention what it is in public. I'll just say its not porn (thats works fine

I'd hazard a guess and say you need another DivX codec.. there are many to choose from out there. From the top of my head, i'd say grab 3.11 alpha and Divx 5.0 ..

if you find updating codecs doesnt work you can bet the fucks youve downloaded from have altered it , just like the pricks that rename movies.......HITMAN

Just download the Nimo Codec Pack. It's got a shite load of video and audio codecs. You can download it here:

I've got a prob with kazaa as well, get this. About a week ago all my files will download but instead of going complete they will all fail, and when I start windows it says Error: cannot find file kazza.dbb or something like that. Anyone have this problem?? I tried to uninstall and get it again but it did the same stuff, now I try to uninstall it and download it again and it says I need to instert some disk for some .dll file....any help bros

Don't know too much about Kazaa stopped using it after I learned about the spyware it installs. You can check it by using the Ad-aware tool. I use eDonkey/Overnet instead and ocasionally Morpheus for MP3 downloads.

I've had the same problem with some movies... you just need "Nimo codec pack"... you can find a link to it at www.vcdhelp.com

Hopefully this will help.

I was running 98 SE on my laptop, and ME on my desktop - both with the DivX codec installed - and everything worked great. Then one day I decided to format everything and install XP Pro. Reinstalled all the same software I had, but now there's no video for a few of my movies. 1 porn and Scarface.

This happened to me too. It worked with win2k and after installing XP Pro with exactly the same codecs, some movies won't show!!

If anyone knows anything please share your knowledge!!

ok, well it didn't work. mainly b/c of the fact it won't let me install it. for some reason when i click on the file it gives me this message :

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access this item."

Umm....whatever. No idea why it won't let me. I'm the administrator of my computer; I'm the only one who uses it.

I've had problems with avi's but not sound issues.

Ok start as a tech would

double click your sound icon in the sys tray. make sure the volume is turned up and not muted for each.

Make sure your logged in as the admin and install divx 5

i know this has already been said for the most part but lets take it one or two steps at a time.
