Radiohead - The Bends
I find it really hard to pick a fav band, album or song. My musical taste is diverse. 2 I would never get sick of are: Pink Floyd- Dark side of the moon, or Animals.
Pink Floyd - Wish You were Here. Amazing album, then entire thing written about their former lead singer Sid who had to leave the band.
Like Tigress I can't pinpoint an absolute favorite but I know one of the best ever was Pearl Jam - Ten.
Too many.. some good finnish local bands like Eppu Normaali
but from international bands I would say
Sepultura - Chaos A.D
U2 - ***
The Living End - ***
Megadeth-Peace sells
Overkill- years of decay
seputura-arise
metallica-ride the lightning
pro-pain-foul taste of freedom
bio hazard-urban discipline
machine head-
slayer-seasons in the abyss
Guess it is a toss up of Dennis Leary, No Cure for Cancer and Monster Ballads - J/K
A lot that have been listed already, especially U2... aaaaand Faith No More, The Real Thing; Nine Inch Nails, Pretty Hate Machine; Credence Clearwater Revival (a bootleg collection I bought in Thailand), ... shit... Zepplin, Jimi, Clapton, Steve Miller, Eagles, ... too many to name...
I suck at picking a favorite of anything - I like a little of everything :D
As far as gym music, I guess I do have an all time favorite... Metallica, Ride The Lightning from beginning to end.
Its hard to choose, heres my top 3;
1.Nirvana-Nevermind
2.Cypress Hill-Black Sunday
3.Slipknot-Iowa
The Beatles - "Revolver"
--dnb
runner up: The Who - "Live At Leeds"
For me there is no doubt at all...
Pink Floyd - The Wall
1. ride the lightning
2. and justice for all
3. life is too short
4. The Cronic
Rock: AC/DC-Back in Black, Van Halen-Greatest Hits
Alt/Pop The Cranberries-"Everyone else is doing it so why can't we."
Alt- Nirvana-The album with "All apologies" on it.
Rap- "The Chronic"
Classical- Mozart, Piano Concerto #20. and Beethoven's Piano Concerto #5.
:)
wow....good question....
Led Zeppelin II and IV
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
AC/DC - Back in Blqck
Incubus - Make Yourself
too many to name...I can't choose just one either ;)
Oh my god...I opened this thread NOT expecting to see MY favorite already listed, but there it is...in a tie with OK Computer, that is ;)Quote:

Truly a groundbreaking album for hip hop, something totally different from the norm at the time, overall though just a rock solid cd from beginning to end.
Can't beleive no one has mentioned the last 'nsync album, oh that justin is such a hottie. J/k, if i ever heard that shit in the gym i would fucking yell at who ever the hell was working there then fucking throw em against the wall while screaming, " The backstreet boys are better punk ass".
 You're right bro, Licensed to Ill was awesome.Quote:

Honestly until i heard the licensed to ill album, the only thing i would ever listen to alternative and a little rock, since then now i listen to just about every type of music. I guess it just kinda opened me up.

Hmm fav depends on genre... actually, I can't even pick one from each genre.
Ride is a classic... as is Seventh Son... and Deathcrush... and Blood, Fire, Death... and Ablaze... and Nightfall... there's just too many good albums to list just one... but that's due to the fact I don't listen to popular and rap trash :D
And Wagner... that should cover most genre's I listen to.

Cliff was one of the best basest of all time but no one ever gives Jason any credit. He is an awsome musician. Not Cliff but Cliff was a tallient we will never see again.

 MTV...PLEASE. I'm a die hard fan. I've been since Jr high. I can remember when the crash happened and they weren't even very big at the time. Everyone was into hairbands. Everyone says that Jason made them soft but IMO Lars started this pussy crap. He turned them into sell outs. That and James (who is still the best vocalist ever) turned a little bit country.
Iced Earth - Horror Show
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Stormtroopers of Death - Speak English or Die
my bad how could i forget those artistis!!:lol:Quote:
