Creating VCD's...
Does anyone know of any software that can create VCD's?
All I want to do is put a lot of clips (*Special Movies* if you know what I mean ) on a CD and play it through my DVD player.
I downloaded something by Ulead but was pure shite to put it simple.

I also have Ahead's NERO Burning CD-Rom, personally I've had trouble getting it to create audio CD's but it has worked before.
A step-by-step thing with that would be helpfull.

i use nero to burn VCD's and audio without a problem.
Just find an Mpg and use the wizard that nero has. tell it other cd then VCD and choose the Mpgs.
Naturally you are limited in what size movie you can use.

Colibri, if you need the plugins to create SVCD and the mp3Pro plugin for Nero, let me know and I can send it your way.

Ive been making The Simpsons on VCD
OHHH how i wish i had a dvd burner hehe
Its really easy. the only problem i have been having is some of the mpegs are sized small to save smace but when you play them on a good size tv they are blurry.
Besides that there are no troubles using nero.
What is your level of burning exp?

If you could send me the plugins, that would be great. I think I've sussed the most of it out now.
My experience is around 0, probably in the negatives now
Only really had experience create audio CD's and copying them.
On another note, two questions:
1. What's an iso?
2. I have a CD with a few a hundred+ mp3's, filling up the 800mb space of the disk. When ever I burn an audio disk to get that 800mb space filled it never works, does it have to be a certain "something" to do this rather than fill up 80 minutes?
Thanks.

vcd's suck. a single dvd won't fit on a single vcd, you have to split the dvd movie across multiple vcd's. and you just >know< that you're gunna have to change out the vcd right in the middle of the climax of the movie.
divx is awesome. quailty is much better than vcd and a dvd can be compressed down to divx that'll fit on a single cd. dvd players that play divx will be coming out soon...=)

1. An ISO is an "image" of the original cd you are trying to copy. For example, EZ CD Creator if you have that, once you put in a cd, u go to "File" and it will say something like "Create Disk Image" or "Create Image of CD" and basically what it is is an EXACT copy of whatever cd you want to copy. It will be saved on your harddrive, 650-700mb (depending on the size of cd) and it will be just ONE file. And then you can burn that ISO anytime off the hard drive.
2. Your mistake here is that you are burning an "audio" cd. When you want to burn your mp3's as ACTUAL mp3's, then you need to burn the cd as a "DATA" cd. That way, it will say which files, and you can copy as much as 700mb of mp3 files. If you pick audio, then it is CONVERTING the mp3 to WAV files. And each WAV file is about 30-40megs and therefore it can only fit about 16-18 songs.
Hope this helps bro,
T.

I SECOND THAT ... BIG TIME! DIVX kicks ass! I download them off Morpheus or WinMX (best d/l program in my opinion). Downloaded and burned close to 200 movies! It's AMAZING quality. And i'm also dying for a DIVX player! I heard that XBox or PS2 might add the software to their systems.
