hey bro
just incase you didnt know. you can replace the hard drive inside the tivo's with larger drives.
I have seen quite a few websites talking about it in the past. Just buy the cheap one and replace the hard drive yourself. Much cheaper and i am sure you will find everything you need on the net.
PM me if you have trouble locating it and i will see if i can dig up some url's
BUMP for the real question hehe

Hey bro
here are some links so you can learn a bit more about what you have to do. The hard drives come from wherever you get the best price.
Compusa has a 100GB drive that is around 100 dollars and sometimes rebates drop it to under 40 bucks.
so check there and www.pricewatch.com and look for huge drives . the compusa drive would be sweet in the smallest hour tivo they sell.
They are off the shelf drives. If your just replacing the default drive for a larger one you will save time.
Its possible to add a second hard drive and the info is on the url's i sent you.

Tivo is awesome. Not sure what I did without it. Make sure you get one with a dual tuner so you can watch one channel while recording another.
