I can't believe I have spent so much of my free time here at AR and never read this thread..This is by far the best one I have seen here at AR..I am compelled to share things about myself that I wouldn't normally do.

1.) I grew up in a single parent family (mother) and was always tagged by the rest of my family as the one who would spend his adult life in jail or be dead..I had everything stacked against me except for I had the best mother in the entire world..

2.) I was always into trouble growing up and even spent some time in cuffs as a young teen for fighting and drinking..Then I really got stupid when I told the Police Officer to "Fuck Himself"..Bad move on my part..The rest I can't remember because of the ass beating he delivered..

3.) I was an exceptional athlete in H.S. and college but left a full ride at a DIV 1 school to join the Marine Corps..The Corps was where I found myself and started on the path that has led me into a successful and happy home life and career..

4.) I am my own worst critic and seemingly never am satisfied with my physical appearance..

5.) I have NEVER been faithful to a woman I was involved with including my wife and I have such disdain for that I sometimes feel like I am a failure at relationships..If I have any weakness it is for a beautiful woman..

6.) I miss my mom more than anything in this world and I would give up EVERYTHING except my wife and child to bring her back for just 30 minutes..Even though I was very popular in highschool and always had a steady girlfriend, my mom was my best friend and I wasn't ashamed to admit it..

7.) Sometimes my intelligence is a hinderance instead of a help..I am always trying to learn more about everything and sometimes feel like I am going to go straight to the funny farm..

8.) I am deathly afraid of spiders..Not scared but actually arachnophobic..I have been bitten twice, once by a black widow and once by a brown recluse and I was extremely ill both times..I have been scared shitless ever since and those incidents happened when I was in the Marines and that has been many years ago..

9.) Although I am proud that I graduated from Medical School and have become a competent surgeon, I am still not "Happy" with my accomplishments and always want to achieve more in all facets of my life..I know this is futile to a point and it will probably be my undoing..My proudest moment was making it through Marine Corps Bootcamp..

10.) I pray to God everyday that I will be a good husband and an exceptional daddy to my daughter who will soon bless this planet..(Due date is Oct 1, 2003)..I am more afraid of being a failure as a father than I have ever been afraid of anyhting in my life..

But I had to add that my 2 year old Boston Terrier is one of the greatest things that I have ever had in my life..I hated it when my wife whined for months that she wanted a dog, but when I locked eyes with him, he stole my heart and hasn't let go..Now if I could just get him to not snore and hog all of the covers I would be a happier man..Thanks for all of the honesty..

1. I got married on my 18th birthday to a girl way older than me, biggest mistake of my life.

2. My two best friends were killed in front of me when I was 19 years old, shot by two muggers over 20 dollars combined.

3. Weightlifting has been the both the biggest positive and negative influence in my life. Negative because I started steroids as a 16 year old which messed up my life a great deal and positive because when I finally grew up it gave me something positive to do with my spare time instead of getting into trouble and just wasting my life.

4. I used to tattoo a lot of people for money... I can't draw at all. Get the picture?

5. I have a really poor self image and hide from cameras like the plague.

6. I'm a senior in college after taking two years off, I still don't know what I wanna be when i grow up

7. I run my own buisness right now... No i won't tell you what for privacy reasons but it's legit.

8. I've worked as a: Bouncer, lobsterman, firearms instructor, small time MMA fighter, tattoo artist, construction and burger king as a kid.

9. I also have a two year old boston terrier, the best dogs in the world.

here it goes I don't post that much , but read AR everyday for almost a year and luv it So i gues this will be my introduction to the AR family!

1. I love music more than a normal person, my ultimate goal is to be a musician but I doubt that will ever come true.

2. I sometimes think I don't love my wife, but have never ever done anything for her to notice it.

I'm bumping this because i think it's the most interesting thing i've read in a long time...anywhere. Seems like we all talk a lot, but this really gives some insight...

1) I have the best and the worst self image. I love who I am and would never change it. But i'm extremely self-conscious.

2) I am the most positive, optimistic person I've ever met. I don't have bad days (for the most part)

3) I'm in dental school. I study less than 90% of the class (gym takes precedence on most days) and I'm still averaging a B.

4) I regret nothing. I learn from everything.

5) I am generally introverted. I don't let people inside my head. Only a few have really gotten to know me, although many people think they do.

6) I am a 5 yr old at heart. I watch cartoons as often as I can - Dragonball Z, Dexter's Lab, Home Movies, Ed Edd & Eddy, Disney movies, etc.

7) I'm a basketball freak. I wasn't good in HS, but became very competitive playing streetball. I would have walked on at a D-I school (pretty confident I would've made the team, at least to ride the bench) until I blew out my knee.

8) I don't date often and have never had sex outside of a relationship. I don't like to waste my time and i have very little patience for stupid girls. I work very hard to keep the good ones. I've realized that i've treated a lot of girls much better than they've deserved...but i will not change that.

9) I will never be satisfied with myself. Ever. I will always have goals - physically, intellectually, etc. If i reach them it means i haven't aimed high enough, and i'll readjust.

10) I miss my ex-fiance a LOT. But I'll never go back to her, because it just doesn't work. We're still friends, but we now live 3000 miles away. I could never be with her, but she was a great friend.

I have to admit, the more I read this thread, the more i think of for myself. What is it about this thread that's so theraputic? Either way...

11) I've never been in a fight. The only times I've been close is when someone threatens my friends or family. I've been real close to losing it a couple times because of this - each time the person has backed off when I've stepped up.

12) I'm extremely calm and mild-mannered. I handle myself well in almost any situation...this might explain #11...

13) I'm very close with my mom...but not so close with any of my extended family. My girlfriend has a large traditional Mexican family...this is taking some getting used to. That being said - her family is amazing.

14) I packed up and moved across country by myself to go to school. It's the best decision I've ever made, but at the same time I can't wait to move back home (in 4 more years).

15) I have no regrets. None. Even the things that hurt me most, i wouldn't change - because it would make me a different person.

16) I was a fat kid all through junior high, and to a lesser extent through HS. 7th grade was by far the worst year of my life (parents divorced, a close grandmother died, kids picking on me)...but it made me so much stronger today. sometimes i think about where i was...it motivates me to no end to see how far i've come.

17) i'm tired of wearing clothes...i'll be honest.

I'm cutting it short here, but i'm sure i could go on...

7) i cut gym class almost everyday of my junior and senior year of high school......but when i turned 18 and joined the real gym i totally fell in love with it........in my senior year i hated running the mile which was only twice a year...........now i average 30 miles a week........

Big Green, I saw the "Get to Know the AR Crew" in your signature and felt left out. So I am posting now.

1. I am very laidback and shy, especially when you first get to know me, but as time goes on, I open up a lot more. Still laidback though.

2. I am a diehard workaholic. I am totally self-motivated and take extreme pride in the work I do. I am my worst critic when it comes to work. But no matter what job I have, I will find a way to be better than everyone else in some way.

3. My health is one of the most important things in my life. I will eat the same 7 - 8 meals every single day for the next 6 months if I have to in order to have the body I want. My life revolves around eating, working out, and sleeping. Physical health is one of the most important things we have, and I am going to take care of mine.

4. I am a deep analyzer. I will analyze any situation if I think I can figure out the deeper meaning behind it. I have gone so far as to analyze the meaning of life, and I have my own theories about life that I have come up with. Deep down I wonder if these theories were already discovered by someone else and I just never took the time to look for them in someone else's writings. I really don't care though, they are mine now.

5. I believe in God and I am a Christian. I really wish I was more religious than I am, but I blame no one by myself.

6. Computers have been a hobby of mine since high school. I almost went into computers in college but I decided I didn't want to sit behind a desk all day. Now I help run AnabolicReview.com, AllSportsNutrition.com, SteroidBooks.com, and soon another 145 fitness and steroid related websites that no one knows about YET and I sit behind a desk all day. lol

7. My best friend is my boss. He owns these websites and together we are virtually unstoppable. We have more ideas for his domains then we have time to do in 10 lifetimes. If you give us 2 hours together to brainstorm, we will come up with 2 more months of work.

8. When I first became the admin of AR I knew nothing about anything except working out and sports supplements. I had never even seen a picture of steroids . I have done nothing but read and learn since then thanks to my family on this message board.

9. When this website was being developed, Brian (owner of AR) gave me a bunch of papers and scanned documents to type and edit. I barely knew Brian at that time. I either typed or edited every single document that you see on Anabolic Review's homepage. And yes, I know.....we are updating it now.

10. I can do anything in life that I want to do. There has never been anything in life that I have truly wanted to do that I couldn't accomplish.

I wish my changes would have happened sooner. It all started two weeks ago for me. The change over the last 2 weeks for me has been unlike any other I have ever experienced. It's strange looking back and realizing just how far your life can get off track without you ever realizing it. I have had a lot of support from some great people, and I am very thankful for that.

1) Money DOES matter and I DO want to make as much of it as possible but I will NOT do it in any way that compromises ANY of my morals. Whether that be letting the boss hit on me to get that promotion or embezzling money... nothing like that.
2) I'm totally confident and totally insecure at the same time. I'm completely confident with my personality, I know I'm a good person. Sometimes I'm confident with how I look but I know I could look so much better...and I'm working on it. So... I like my body but I won't be happy until it's perfect. My perception of perfect is different from others too I'm sure.
3) I've always been way more mature than everybody my age. Even when I was little my mom told me I wouldn't let my friends be mean to me, I'd just come home and play by myself. Therefore, highschool was fun for the 1st 2 years when I was totally involved but I let the people get to me and quit EVERYTHING. I wish I hadn't stopped playing sports. I miss the hell out of them all and now that I'm a senior, I basically f'd up my chances at anything good. But I WILL try out for softball in college.
4) I love my parents for always telling me that I'm beautiful the way I am because... I know people who have serious insecurity problems and I don't think they even know it.
5) I think my numbers are way too long but if you don't want to read them you don't have to. The right people love me. Like I was told varity is the spice of life and I'm something different and special for sure.
6) My family isn't very close. I haven't seen one of my grandmother's since I was probably 4 yrs. old and the other one and my grandpa live far away and we're certainly not on the top of their priority list. I want a big extended family, with lots of love. So I have a feeling I'll either marry a black man or an Italian man. SOMEBODY with lots of family and lots of love in it. I won't turn somebody away if they don't have it... I just really really really want the big family.
7) I believe in fate and destiny. (serendipity!) Everything happens for a reason. It's okay if you don't know why, you may never find out, but just know it happens for a reason. That's what gets me through each day... only day by day though. Gotta live day by day.
8) I'm extremely glad I was introduced to this board because it is like a family and I do love you guys. I'd really like to meet a few of you... in person. I know I'm not in any fitness competitions and am not as serious about my body as a lot of you but I still feel like I belong here. If anyone feels I don't they can let me know. I'll gladly tell them I don't care.
9) I LOVE music. I'm always listening to it, singing it, dancing to it, and anything else you can do to music. I own a guitar but... haven't learned how to play much on it yet, my wrist is in splint for 3 weeks so I guess I'll have to put that off for a while.

same here.....definlity grew up wayyyyyyy before my time......sometimes i wish i had a more sheltered life.........seen, done and experienced too many things i shouldn't have yet......but then again.....if i had to do it all over again i would, because it's made me the person i am today and i wouldn't want to change that
