Terror Threat Level

Does anyone know whether or not the raised threat level will cause customs to examine packages more closely? I would think that this would be a shady time to receive international orders. Any thoughts?

I don't know but mine was vicous, it has cause over 200 bites that have drawn blood, it ate its way through a wall once during a thunder storm, One time it attacked a mexican dude , and that guy used a boat oar to beat him down, it was like a wolf. A cute little white wolf.

IMO the terror alert level was raised as propaganda. Before you flame me, let me explain. Bush wants a war with Iraq, but a large percentage of Americans aren't onside. By raising the terror alert the government is giving a wakeup call to those citizens that haven't made up their minds. He'd be a complete moron (totally new thread ) if he attacked without the approval of voters...just ask his daddy.

No flame here but, show me the statistics that say there are a large percentage of people that don't back the war? I know that there are alot of people against it, but that doesn't constitute a large percentage. Democrats in general are against the war. Its a part of there political party policy. There are many reasons as to why they raise the terrorist threat level. Most of those reasons are simply for the heightened awareness factor. Raising the terror threat level is not going to change the minds of people who are against the war. Also, there is no way in hell that Jr. is going to have complete approval of voters in the war effort.

I will agree that there is alot of tactics used by the bush administration to woo the people who don't agree with the war, but IMO, his raising the terror threat level is not one of them.

The above results are current to February 7, 2003. The support before Colin Powell's speech was slightly less. I'm not implying that the "large percentage" of people against the war are the majority, but they do have a significant voice. Bush needs these people onside if he chooses to attack without UN approval, and currently he does not have enough support.

No, I'm not against the war in Iraq. I'm just stating my opinion.

It goes to show that the "large percentage" leans more towards being in favor of war. As far as being a significant voice, well I don't think that the people really have a say in the matter. We do have a republican in office! People will probably call me a conspiracy theorist but I think that this war is motivated by more than just protecting our country. Also, to your comment about needing the minority vote on his side before attacking without UN approval. <-- Never happen unfortunately. As long as Bush has the majority on his side then there will never be a second thought. It may hurt his chances for re-election but who knows!

My guess is that they probably have a lot of information that they won't release to everyone, which is why they are pushing so hard for war. I'm sure there is a large amount of political angenda mixed in this whole thing, but I think that the threat of America being attacked is enough to get most people to back military action.

Increased threat level? Well, apparently there is. I work for a company that works for the government, and the security level has been elevated to "bravo," which isn't the pitter-patter "terror scale," but the actual national force protection condition.

Colin Powell just pulled another statement from Bin Laden out of his ass. Apparently it links Iraq to Al Qaeda. Holy 7-Eleven, batman...that's what I call convenience!!!
