Great News ALL!!!!!
I'm very proud to announce that on Monday February 17th at exactly 10:07am my son came into this world. Weighing in at 7lbs 11oz and 20.5 inches long. Poor kid looks just like his old man except he has blonde hair while I have brown. We named him Owen Scott, so now we have a daughter (of course my little princess) whose 1 1/2 years old and now my boy. So the "having kids game" is officially over for me and the misses. I was gone all last week and am glad to be back in the swing of things.

Congrats!
So at 1.5g/lb that little sucker should be getting around 12g of protein per day. Hopefully you don't have to start suplimenting Moma's milk with whey protein!

Oh...I think he's getting more than enough. We're bottle feeding him (do to wifes meds) and he's been sucking down 4oz a feeding and yesterday started 6oz per feeding. Most newborns eat about 2 maybe 3oz. I don't think he's gonna be little very long. LOL I think I better start looking for a second job so I can afford to feed him.

Congrats Big Tex - remember him as a handful - cuz he's gonna grow! Keep him on the breast milk so he gets all the good Colostrum and Mom burns the extra baby baggage (nature's method to help woman lose weight after pregnancy). And keep him off SOY PROTEIN formulas - get the kinds with Whey/Casein in it (I think Enfamil is one)... seriously... and watch those bones grow and teeth come in! Congrats!

Warrior- hey we're using Enfamil Lipil with iron. I read the back and it stil has small amounts of Soy. I'm going to do some research this weekend at the store. Trust me, I'm well aware of how fast they grow. Looking at my daughter it's hard to believe she was ever as small as my son is right now. LOL
Terinox- No sweat bro, he was born with a belt and straps already on! LMAO I've decided we'll skip the crawling and potty training stage and move right into compound lifts!! LOL

All I can say bro's is that I pray that AR will be around when they're my age so they can learn as much great things as I have. Also to meet such good extended family as I have on here. Hell any of ya'll make it to New Braunfels, just give me a look up and there'll be a glass of my wifes ever famous ice tea and a plate of her wonderfull enchiladas for ya!! (You'd just have to consider it your cheat meal for the week like I do. LOL)

I was just thinking about the advantages of comming from a family already into lifting and fitness. I grew up in a family of "clean your plate" attitudes. None of them to this day understand my passion of the gym, much less my goal of 11%. I can't even imagine how different my life might be should I have grown up around fit people. Just thinking about how different my self confidence is now, compared to even a year ago..wow...I wish you and your fam all the luck and happiness...

mnkc- Thank you, and I really understand where you're coming from. I grew up in the same kind of atmosphere. I will teach my kids the habits and benefits of eating properly and exercise, but I will not force workingout or force sports upon them. Yes I plan on putting them in soccer and little league, but as they get older I'm not going to force them to play sports, or force my passions onto them. I want them to grow up passionate about their minds. See I was in about the 5th or 6th grade when my mom sat me down and told me that if I wanted to go to college I better play sports and get a scholarship because as much as she would have liked to, she didn't have the money to send me. So from that my attitude of there's nothing in life other than football began and I still believe my education suffered from it. I still studied and did good, but not to learn, just to stay elidgable to play. But yes they will grow up without sodas and candy and junkfood in the house. Instead it'll be fruit, pretzels and other kinds of healthy snacks and such. Also instead of sitting for hours in front of the tv they'll be outside playing or reading. Well that's want I'm hoping for at least. LOL

Congrats Bro!!! I'm glad everything went well.....I knew when I had my baby (she's 2 now) that was the most nerve racking thing I've ever experienced. Ah hell..I guess I'll tell you what happenend...Noone told me about how the heads squeeze out of shape during natural childbirth before this happenened by the way...Well, my daughter is born and the nurse puts her into the little basket thing under the light. Something was wrong with my wife so most of everyones attention was on her while I am sitting here in tears looking at this baby girl under the light...I notice that she has a HUGE CONE HEAD!!! OMG..i was so freaking out, and the nurse came over and was cleaning her and acted like nothing was wrong...I was finally like, hey my kid is deformed and noone is doing anything about it.....Well they all looked at me and busted out laughing..THEN proceeded to tell me about the skull thing....But anyway, glad you're back buddy!!!
