Car Stereo
ok So i had a 6 cd changer in my SUV . My little one ended up sticking 7th cd in it and the damn thing doesnt work. Is it a good idea to fix it (if it is any good place to get it fixed in canada) or should i just replace it? if I have to replace it which is good dont want to spend too much money on it.
Thank you guys.

Replace the little one.

Have you gotten the 7th cd out? Maybe it's just jammed?
If you decide to replace it then buy it online and put it in yourself. It's just a few screws and a plug or two so no need to pay someone to do it. If you try to get it from a dealer you'll pay out the ass for it.

The way I look at it is the cost of repair would likely be close to te cost of replacement. Might aswell get a new one so you don't have to worry about how well the person doing the repair fixed it and how long the repair will last. Plus a new one would have a warranty on it.

Does it power on but just not eject any CD's ? Its def not worth to get fixed unless its a really easy fix. Your not going to know that until someone has already looked at it and charged you. I would try to force it open/close and if that doesn't work do what stack said and guy one online. Chances are if you want the same one you can get it cheap as hell depending on how old the model is.

TY guys.
DSM its a stock stereo . It powers on but if you switch to "CD" u can hear clicking for a minute and then nothing. So if I am going to replace it what you think is reasonably priced and which website I can order it from....I know nothing about these things.

Trouble finding that OEM radio online for sale. You have two options at this point. 1) Buy a new radio and just get a "fit kit" to install the radio in the OEM space. 2) Call local junk yards and see if they have radios. I think i read the 2006,2007 and 2008's are the same radio.

There are a lot to choose from. Use http://reviews.cnet.com/car-audio/ to narrow down you selection then do some googling. Also you can check best buy for in stock radios if you don't want to order online.

Strange enough on ebay they have a lot of them but only up to 2005. Check to see if it's the same as yours.

if you end up having to replace it, aftermarket will almost ALWAYS be cheaper and usually better quality. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com is the cheapest site I have found online. ships from US though.

I am in Alberta. The closest border for US is Montana. Yeah I am glad too but looks like that car needed to have transmission, Transfer case and differential oil changed. plus The freaking leak coming from transfer case input seal as well. So give and take about 1000$ plus 500$ for rims. looking at 1500$ without stereo.
