    Check out my new Toy!!!!

    See my new baby!!!

    An Apple 17" PowerBook

I have been waiting for 3 months for this laptop too ship. I put my name on a waiting list back in January and I got the call today that it was in the store. I ran over too the Apple Soho store and fell in love. All I can say is... It's simply STUNNING!

    17" diagonal TFT Widscreen Display
    1 GB of RAM
    60GB Ultra ATA/100 HD
    Built-in Slot-loading DVD burner
    NVIDIA GeForce4 440 with 64MB
    Gigabit Ethernet
    Built-in Bluetooth
    Built-in 802.11b and 802.11g
    2 Firewire 800 ports
    2 USB ports
    Digital Video out
    S Video out

My favorite feature... Fiber optic Backlit keyboard with ambient light sensor too automatically adjust the keyboard and screen brightness based on the available ambient light.

    Here it is!

    Yes it's an Apple...

It's an Apple that can run OS X, UNIX and Win XP. I'm running all 3 as we speak.

Yeah, 1ghz G4. The thing that amazes me, it's so quiet. I've been using it nonstop setting it up and the hardrive is silent and the fan turned on once and I could barely hear it.

I'm sitting in the dark watching my keyboard glow.

Ah, Virtual PC--emulator. Cool bro, I have a titanium that I have to use for work. It is only a 750 but still seems to be ok. I am not a big fan of Mac's but its all good!

The more RAM you have the faster Virtual PC runs. I get about PIII 800-850 speed. Which is fine for what I need Windows for.
