what are odds???? need some1 good at math...

im trying to figure out what the odds are on this lotto ticket. there are 25 unscratched squares and u have to scratch 5 and all of them must be money bags. if u scratch any more then 5 on one ticket its void. also there is only 5 money bags on each ticket. can someone figure out what these odds are??

From just going off the top of my head it sort of like a combination problem. so the formula for that is

    n!/(r!*(n-r)!)
where n = number of squares and r is the number of money bags.
so your answer is around 1 in 1,062,600. I might be off probablility theory was always my least favorite thing.

Not quite sure on this bro, but this is how I figure it.
On your first scratch you have a 5 in 25(or 1 in 5) odd of scratching a money bag which would equal a 20% chance.

On your second scratch you would have a 4 in 24 odd which equals 16.6%.

    Third scratch; 3 in 23; equalling 13%

    Fourth scratch; 2 in 22; equalling 9%

and fifth scratch; a 1 in 21 chance; equalling 4%

    So add the %s and divide by 5. 62/5 =s 12%

Hell ....I don't know. That seems a little high. Check the back of the ticket. They should have the odds of winning printed on it.

THIS is exactly why I DON'T play the lottery!

pain is right for the "main prize". That would be the odds of getting the "super jackpot" Now the odds to get a $1, $2, or $5 might be as low as 2:5 or 1:10 or something. 16 of the sqaures might be $1 winners on a $2 ticket. I bet only 5 square are the superjackpot on a superjackpot ticket. Meaning you have a 1.06 million to 1 chance of hitting it.

It is actually very easy to see through the ticket covering. Take some Sustanon , some Equipose, add a pinch of DNP powder, and then lick the ticket, and hold it up to natural sun light, and you will see the magic sacs of money

    No but seriously...

DUDE, how do you think they make all this money!!! Example, like the Lotto Super 7 and Lotto 6/49 in Canada, I think the odds are something like 1 in 13 million! Those bastards know what they are doing!

no there arent any odds on the back, my uncle got the tickets for free from the motor city casino in detroit and he gave them to me. they dont sell them at stores. every ticket is possibly a winner if u could chose the right boxes, but thats not exactly the easiest thing....

I can see how they would make each ticket a winner. Odds are still in their favour. But wouldn't it really suck if the first one you scratch is NOT a money bag, then your just so fucked and pissed off and discouraged
