    first time for everything...

    i got sucked into a rerun of the 1995 Worlds Strongest Man competition earlier this week and last night the 2002 show was on...what do you guys thing of this competition...being my first time seeing it..i was blown away. This is a yearly competition? What's the deal with it...is it somthing these guys train for all year?

    The have comps (like GP“s) all year and a final to determine whos the WSM.
    Alot of brutal traning i can asure you.

    I'm hooked on those shows. Yes it happens every year and it's an elimination process....qualifing, semi's, final's .and so on. These guys train their whole lives for it.

    i was really surprised at the varying sized and strengths of the guys....this will be interesting to become more familiar with

    I saw one live at the Arnold Classic. I think Mark Henry is by far the worlds strongest man.

    I remember when they had one from the 70s with people from all sorts of different backgrounds, bodybuilding, powerlifting, and athletics. They had Franco Columbo on there, he did pretty poorly though. They also had this football player that did fairly well, but the WSM obviously out beat them.
