Do you know a vegetarian?
I'm trying to help my g/f come up with a relatively easy to follow "cutting diet"...she's not looking to be shredded, just be reasonably tight for summer. The only problem is, designing it is tough as hell because she doesn't eat read meat, chicken or fish (basically anything that once had eyes and a brain). She hates cottage cheese as well. Right now her primary protein source is tofu and shakes. Anyone worked with or known a vegetarian looking to drop weight but retain some muscle mass so as not to look emaciated? If so, what protein sources came in handy? Any input would be appreciated.

Well, we did a sweep through the supermarket tonight as a "recon mission" of sorts. She's considering CKD as a means to her end, and without eating any meat, poultry or fish, her options are immediately limited. Ricotta cheese seems to be a viable substitute for cottage cheese...i think she'll just have to end up going pretty heavy with the dairy and protein powders, so it'll be even more limited than your traditional CKD. Tofu and eggs are really the only sensible no-dairy options outside of powders, and the various forms of MRP's. I was just sorta hoping that someone would have some "secret weapon" of a protein source for vegetarians.
