Any proven ways to make $ on the net?

Any bro's on here rely on the internet to pay for the bread every week? I am not talking about on-line businesses or e-commerce but more along the terms of advertising and multi-level marketing. I know there are thousands of these get-rich-quick companies on the net that do nothing but scam you out of money and time. I got screwed by one a couple years ago and decided that making money the old fashioned way is still the way to go.... anyone else think otherwise?
