Microsoft Exchange 2007 can it be done or not?

Hey guys i just installed Microsoft Exchange 2007 (that is very bugged LOL) on a MS windows 2008 enterprise server SP1, now i have search the internet like crazy to find if it can be done or not.

If you remember with MS server 2003 and Exchange 2003, when creating a new user we where prompted with a check box do you want to create a exchange account.

This time around i do not get this and seems that Exchange 2007 is completely a part from the active directory. Not sure if this is right or not?

You create the mailbox in the EMC or powershell first and then it creates an Active Directory object.

Yes, unfortunately Exchange 2007 and Active Directory are very tightly integrated... which is making postfix a better option for many small businesses.
