Guy I haven't seen in awhile today came in the gym. Fvcking monster for sure. Probably the most impressive guy ive seen in person funny thing is the guy frowns when you mention gear lol messed up for sure..anyway it gave me alot of motivation to stay at it and keep training hard to reach my goals.

Done very quick chest and bicep training session went great noticed im pumping up more now was overall a great session.

    To slow in here guys!

Legs today. Warmed up on extensions, then:

Extensions: 2 sets, slow with hard squeeze at the top.
Squats: Felt a hitch in my back on my last warm up set. Went to my feel set weight and figured I'd stay there and rep out. I guess the extra weight got rid of the back hitch. High reps, hit 19, just couldn't get 20. Would have crashed and burned.
Vertical's: 2 sets heavy and slow, around 8 reps each.

Took this pic then cause I thought the veins looked cool (they get much worse):

    Finished with:

Seated curls: 2 sets, 10-12 reps
Stiff leg deads: I set, heavy
Usual calf crap: Verticals and seated.

I have been on a leanout for awhile. I have posted pics before. I was 255 last year. Now down to 202. Do you guys think its time to bulk up a bit? feeling small, or do I need to continue leaning out more. Goals are to compete in the near future. Your thoughts????Click image for larger version.

    Did back today...

    BOR - 2 feels sets
    1 work set...rest paused until I
was unable to do a legit rep.

Pull overs - 1 feel set
    1 work set/3 drops

Cable pull downs - 1 feel set
(Close grip) 1 work set/2 drops

    DB Rows - 1 work set/2 drops

Wide grip cable rows - 1 work set/2 drops

    Deads - straight sets (3)

Back was crazy numb/worked today...felt completely fatigued when I was done. I trained a bit diferent today though. I didn't rest at all until I was done. No rest between feel sets & no rest between exercises...just long enough to slide a bench or change the pin on the power blocks ect. I couldn't believe when I looked at the clock when I was done...30 min, lol! I had nothing left though, so killer workout today ! Oh, I did rest between my dead sets (1 minute).

You've made great progress but stay off the scale (as much as you can anyway.) I'd simply keep doing what you're doing and working toward adding more LBM keeping fat to a minimum. Nail your nutrition and training. Set some small, short term goals and work toward achieving them. You'll be amazed the progress you can make in a few short years.

It's a Hoist brand, plate loaded, cam operated extension and curl machine. Really like it. sorry I haven't been on posting but I do read daily. I am very busy with some serious duties at work and I need to concentrate on these issues 100% at certain times but I am still training daily, short heavy and intense.....HIT has started again so things are going ok. I'm feeling a little fat at the moment but diet has been tightened up so give me 2 weeks and I will be rocking again. But at the moment I am powerful except on chest due to delt issues and I and looking huge but a touch flat bjt I do know why not on cycle but thinking of doing small test only soon

Bailed on work early today. I hate lazy people and when I have to rely on someone else to do their job right so I can do mine efficiently it doesn't work out very well. I was so pissed I left them to deal with the mess they created. Took that anger to the gym and ripped the shit out of my back. This is gonna hurt tomorrow!

Thanks Cape, you too. There have not been enough hours in the day!

I continue to train. Like all of us, I hate the thought of not being able to tear tissue daily. Even if I did not log on, I would stop by this thread to remind me why I should push beyond failure. And why those short heavy sets followed by bloodshot eyes were so important.
The final rep with that strange darkness of vision followed by stars does more for my day than any of the other stuff, work, kids, wife...it all goes away for that moment. Its you and the movement, no sound, no problems, just a complete and total committed effort.
Others will preach "maintenance" with regard to weight training. Honestly...I think they've never been to their limits....and should stick to their "hobby".

    I love this place.

    I love this place.
This sums it up better than anything. For that 1 hour that I get to step in the gym I get to be 200% me. My wife doesn't understand it because we met while I was in a bad way. I had gone from the barbell to the bar as my outlet. So once we met and I started turning myself back around I rejoined the gym and fell even deeper in love with the iron than ever before. She tries to be supportive but it's a feigned attempt at best most of the time. It makes it hard to stay motivated sometimes, and has been the biggest factor in my missing my first competition 2 times now. This year however I have made up my mind that next year I will compete for the first time at any cost. It could possibly bring about the end of this marriage, but maybe the next one will offer more encouragement towards my goals. Only time will tell, but I refuse to let anyone or anything hold me back ever again!

Oh, dang. I just did a quick Google and that's a nice looking machine. I've been window shopping for something else and a leg extension/leg curl would definitely be put to use. I'll continuing looking and working OT.

There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I feel you brother. My wife likes working out and likes that I enjoy it. But it comes to point to where in eating so much food and all I care about is the gym. She doesn't understand why I'm so obsessed with it and wonders why I care so much about how I look. I find the gym to be much more than just working out. It is where we go to be free of the outside world and just focus on that goal we have set in our own mind. No one will ever understand it unless they live it. I work all day, eat my meals while constantly fantasizing about getting in the gym and tearing that muscle tissue. Keep doing you brother. Everyone else keep killing that weight!!!

Well, if you're in to HIT training I (we) highly recommend taking the time to read this thread from the start. It'll take some time but it's well worth it. Great info as well as motivation and camaraderie.
