Angry Thing that pisses me really off

Anyone of you got problems with this thing?

Im 20 years old, you could say "man", moving out from home at summer.
Anyways, that was not the point, point is that my parents keep digging around my room and searching for something. Well I don`t have gear here or nothing else to hide but it really pisses me off when I don`t have any privacy. I wouldn`t have even noticed this but my little bro tells me that when Im out that they just pop in my room and start looking for something. It really f*cking pisses me off, they could ask me to show my boxes and stuff if they want to see them, but not to look at them when Im gone.

Im pretty sure there is some law that can protect me

Well, I hate to tell you this bro, but as long as you live in your parents house, your room is fair game.

When I was your age, I NEVER kept anything I didn't want my parents to find in my room. It's their house after all, and they probably saw one too many "ABC Afterschool Specials" or 20/20's on how all young adults are evil drugged up monsters...

    Don't fret it bro...

I don't think there is any law to protect you unless you pay rent but that is not a good way to go with family. Sit them down and explain to them that you know you live in their house but that you are an adult and would like to be treated with respect. Don't yell and scream like a child or that is the way they will see you. Tell them to ask you if they have concerns and you will tell them whether you feel it is their business to know. Make sure you don't bring anything illegal into their house since you put them at risk.

    Thats funny!

Just recently, I was at my moms house...I store my furniture that I dont have room for at her place, and I met a buddy there!

We're standing outside BS'ing and he hands me a flyer for a car show! I take it and put it away in my pocket JUST at the moment that my mom walks out the house.

She sees me put something in my pocket and INSTANTLY wants to know what I'm hiding! She asks FORCEFULLY if she can check my pockets...."SURE" I say!

She has me empty my pockets to the point of flipping them inside out...... AND i dont even live with her, just store my stuff....Which was ransacked the moment I moved it into here garage! Its the cost of the deal for me, or else I'd be paying a couple hundred a month for a storage unit!

Point is....All parents are always thinking the worst possible thing about their kids!

Dont sweat it and take it all in stride! Makes you look like the better person...

The only contact I have with my family is on their birthdays and appointed family holidays... ie Christmas, Easter, Mother's, Father's, Grandparent's, etc. All of my leftover stuff that I don't really need with me is my brother's while I'm gone. So, I don't leave anything at my house. But I found a tape recorder under my mother's bed one time with my little brother's phone conversations on it. He's pretty much an only child with the age difference between him and his older siblings so I feel bad with my mother only having to focus on him. But I'm sure if I were there, I'd be watched too. I only watch TV to catch glimpses of my baby brother on a talk show, escorted by Springer's stage crew to my mother already on stage. I'm still waiting for that episode.

Well when I was your age I had the same problem, my mom used to look for drugs (I guess) even thought I was not using. To avoid any further discussion I had told my mom that test amps were vitamin b shots so after that she never questioned me about AS.
