It's not because the guy NEEDs it in most cases. It's because there is a huge profit to be made from it. Bottom line.

Unfortunately it's only going to get worse with Obama Care. We were on the verge or some doctors learning about real men and women's health but now it's going to be dumbed down at least 50 years.

Just like over here, docs are regressive. Get paid by the visit and even if they don't they don't fix the problem they will still charge I hate going to them nut finally think I found a dictor that is interested.

That is one thing that annoys me about doc's you have to pay regardless if they can fix whats wrong or not, thats why its called practicing medicine and not perfected medicine

Don't even get me started on insurance companies. I have no love for them professionally or personally. We have an underwriter in SoCal that has decided it will no longer cover cancer meds for patients. The compounds used to treat cancer patients accounts for 80-85% of treatment and care. Most patients can barely handle the copays let alone asking them to cover 100% of those costs!!!

As for TRT, my natural test has been 182 or lower since I was 39 and my insurance won't covet it despite the clinical need - well my clinical need, not the insurers apparently!!!!!

Well it could be argued that any other service you dont pay them tondo the same job again which is fair but its just a money making racket for docs here they never give out generics cos they are getting greased from the pharma companus

Sorry to hear about this. It's pretty crappy how we treat our military men and families IMO who are fighting to keep our freedoms. I hope this isn't the beginning of Obamacare. If so we are all in for a big shocker IMO. My insurance has changed recently due to increased costs and now we have a new one called Express Scripts/Medco which sucks, instead of Blue Cross. We have to deal with mail orders for all of our meds now. If we don't then we have to pay full price at a regular brick and mortar pharmacy as if we have no insurance at all. All insurance companies are jacking up their prices preparing for what they think Obamacare will do to them so they are grabbing all the cash they can in advance. It still sucks though.

First I want to thank you for your sacrifice and for your husband's service.

now to add my rant in yours, this is what happens when the focus on "healthcare reforms" becomes "health insurance" reform. The real problems with the system will never get addressed and what little pieces of it that actually worked before become broken.

One question with your post though, you say your test is no longer covered. For my own curiosity is that test (the hormone) or test (the diagnostic/monitoring procedure)?

My insurance will cover my Test and I pay the $10 co-pay. But, they will only cover 30 days at once so I would need to pay $10 a month and that costs just as much as my cash price for a 10ml vial that lasts 10 weeks. I pay cash for convenience.

We haven't even tried to get my wife's cream covered.

Personally, I am happy about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare"); but I don't know how this led to a discussion on that. Anyway, I sympathize with you Sexy4mySweetheart.
