I think it was already agreed upon that post counts do not equate to knowledge. I'm sure many newbies rely on the advice provided by a member who has over 500 posts under his belt. Despite the fact the majority of that guy's posts may have come from the AR Lounge.

I feel that they are a potential danger to the newer guys. Now granted each person reviewing or participating in thses forums should know not to take anyones word here without a grain of salt.
Each and everyone of us has the potential to be a complete asinine moron to a person that hasn't been here for a while and interacted with us.
We build up reputations on this board by members reading our posts, and regaurdless of post count, the intelligence and knowledge of the person should be interpreted fairly easy. But to the guys who only become a memeber to get a quick answer, they are looking at numbers, if those numbers are there to see.
I would think it is fair to say that their are a few that have the post count but not the experience or self education to accuratly advise on certain situations. This could be a problem if the majority of our members wern't aware of the potential consequences but I feel for the most part, the danger is alleviated by the mature and broadly intelligent members of our board that can pick up on these situations.
So in short, I think they should be kept in the profiles to limit the possible problems that could be created

Oh -- by the way PTbyJason, if you look at someone elses profile from the links on the threads you can still see their post count.
