Tweak to my diet that has been helping...

So best thing I ever bought is the nutri ninja or something like that. Its no Vitamix but I am not making soup or ice cream.

I usually drink a shake in the AM, after workout and before bed. 3 Shakes a day. (ontop of my normal diet)

Every shake I add 1 scoops of protein powder, 1.5 Cups of pasteurized egg whites and a hand full of frozen fruit from costco. Blend it up. This is something I started doing a month ago.

It is really helping me gain some extra protein in my diet. Doesn't even taste bad.

Now there is an ongoing argument of how much protein your body absorbs from uncooked vs cooked eggs. I can say that its an added 117 g of protein a day I was not getting vs water and I am actually making some better gains lately. (Have not been anabolic for the whole year)

Anyways, take it for what its worth. Just wanted to share something that has been working for me.

I used my first one so much that the tines completely wore down. Add some ice to the Ninja and you get a great smoothie.

What does 117g more protein do?

Use it also to make a fruit/vegetable smoothie, add flax and others to it and see how you feel.

I have seen the same argument regarding liquid egg whites vs cooked. The liquid egg whites make me gassy and so incredibly toxic I won't even look at them to drink anymore. I did a cutting phase with liquid egg whites, fish oil and broccoli with supplemental fish/chicken/nuts and my gut has never recovered.

Often, when food makes you gassy in terms of flatulence, itis a result of the foods nutrients not being absorbed by the villi in the small intestine. Once the food reaches the large intestine it is gonna get broken down and the extra nutrients create terribble amounts of gas.

I am gluten intolerant. My body does not contain the enzymes required to properly digest wheat. When the wheat particles reach my small intestine they are jagged little scumbags that cause my villi to swell and less nutrients are absorbed by the damaged villi.

Pasta is the most countetproductive food I can eat. You would not believe the amount of gas my body produces from a small plate of spaghetti. Chronic swelling and damage to the villi eventually leads to crohns dissease (the thinning of the intestines).

My point is the raw eggs, just like me and wheat, are going to be digested in difgerent amounts on a person to person basis. Everyone is lactose intolerant to a certain degree. Some guys like me can drink 5 gallons of milk a week and it would kill others.

I never understood the raw egg vs cooked egg controversy, I guess I need to look into it more. If the protein is there and extra amino acids and enzymes are present and the consumer isn't allergic, how can it not be digestable?
