    Lamonte Mcintire

Lamonte was freed today after 23 years in prison for a double murder in Kansas City Kansas he did not commit.

A witness who testified against him (later recanting) apologized to his face and got a hug and forgiveness.
Everyone knew the guy was innocent, but thanks to the lead investigator badgering witnesses and giving partial evidence, he spent 23 years in the pen.

This happens all the time and its terrible.
A person cannot understand until they have been prosecuted for a serious crime they did not commit.

Lamonte was very peaceful and humble throughout the process to put it gently. Most would have lost their mind and or commited suicide. This guy walked out like he was leaving a Sunday service.

This man should be a millionaire and never have to do a damn thing he doesn't want to for the rest of his days but instead will prob get 40k-120k restitution.

    Anyway... Welcome back Lamonte!Attachment 170719

I misspelled his last name in the title. Sorry buddy. Worse things have happened to you though.

Its worse than death sometimes. People you love lose you and over time most all believe to themselves that you commited the crime. Its not just losing your freedom, it's being stripped of the people who care about you, and making most or all of your family believe you did it.

His momma never lost faith and the freedom foundation finally heard his story and got him out of there. I will give them some donations when I can. One hell of a good cause.
