Just curious what you guys know about this?

Wondering if anyone thinks it will affect our abilities to access sources or this forum for that matter.

    Its moot..
The Federal Communications Commission voted Thursday to discard neutrality rules that prevented broadband providers from slowing sites or demanding payments from them for fast delivery.

If history is correct. Most of the stuff the government decides to get involved in, end up messy and worse off. Regulations for everything

Well supposedly no new regulations per agency unless they get rid of two existing regulations. Per executive order.

Bottom line if the government is regulating it then it's Fvcked. Show me anything that has gotten better. Look at all the states where they said they were going to control rent increase, it's through the roof and full of slums.

Net neutrality is a fake name for an attempt to let politics control the Internet instead of the free market. It had sweet-fuck-all to do with "neutrality" and everything to do with a political party trying to co-opt the control of the most powerful communication system in existence and transform it into their own private propaganda tool, just as they've done with the "mainstream media."

If you want to see how gefukt your world would be if the government provided for your every need, try visiting an Indian reservation.

Looks like the NY Gov. has some vested interest in this regulatory disaster.
He has signed an executive order that would require internet service providers with state contracts to abide by net neutrality rules, even though the FCC recently voted to repeal those rules.
I hope this does not become a trend.

People are cutting cable, and getting their content from the internet
This trend will continue, and cable companies will continue to lose money. Thankfully they also own the internet infrastructure as well!
They can now charge companies (such as netflix) money to "optimize" their connection (ie not throttle). I doubt they will ever block content (not that I want them to ever have the opportunity)
Internet charges (lets say netflix) money to make up for the loss from cable, netflix charges us to make up their losses.
Internet speeds and technology would have improved regardless.
This is also relatively new, it will take multiple years to see the true ramifications of the repeal.
