    Cortisone Injections

Has anyone received cortisone injections for pain management? If so what was your experience ? I have a consultation coming up and the receptionist gave me very little information over the phone. It's a 5 hour drive each way to see the specialist so if anyone has any audiobook or podcast recommendations that deal with the topic i'll have a lot of drive time.

Yes i have had 4 of them in my lower back for disk issues. The first one did not help a bit but 3 weeks later I had a second one and that worked magic. It lasted around 3 years then the pain came back I have had 2 more with little success.
I have not had one in 3 or 4 years, I power through the pain and have learned what i can and cant do.
I had a bad spell in February and tried acupuncture for the first time, 2 sessions and 49 needles later the pain was 95% gone with nothing since.

One thing to remember whatever is causing the pain is still getting worse cortisone does not heal anything it just covers up the pain.

So your saying you think the acupuncture worked?

Yes I am a believer in it. I got up from the table and 80% of the pain was gone, one more session 2 days later and just about all of the pain was gone.

Thanks for the input. I had accupuncture done 4 times. First two times were great, second two times was extremely painful and I got terrified. I'm not sure if there is more than one "technique" so to speak. I responded fairly well to dry needling though.

Yes, cortisone injections in my knuckles.
Cortisone is a site specific corticosteroid and in my opinion 150-200mg of nandrolone per week is 10 times better.

It is beyond unpleasant injecting your knuckles. The pressure is bad. An intramuscular injection 2x per week is way better and as you know it goes all over your body. I have arthritis and it keeps it at bay. I have a trash elbow with arthritis and damage and without deca /nandrolone some days all I can do is lay around moaning. With it I am fine, no real pain.

My knuckles in my right hand are fucked. The RA will eventually get bad enough they will screw my knuckles together to alleviate some of the pain.
RA attacks joints... Whats the word... Symmetrically?
I.e. both hands both elbows etc. Once you have damaged a joint though it becomes so fucking ridiculos it is unbearable. It swells in and around the joint, feeling like it is on fire. I am not saying it will be best for a shoulder tear etc but for the pain and swelling of RA it is second to none.

I had my shoulder shot about a year ago, it's hard to say if that's what helped, or the PT exercises which i did religiously. The pain is still there, but tolerable now.... And tolerable considering surgery is the only other option.

I'm dying to try acupuncture but I live 5 miles past the middle of nowhere...

Do you find it's really that much better. I found out Nandrolone is discontinued in Canada but apparently they can request from USA. Something to consider with my Doctor if the cortisone doesn't work out. Called the Pharmacy - The pricing gave me a stroke though - 2mL vial = $180.00 and it's 100mg/mL - So $720.00 per month for 200mg / week of Nandrolone.

Anyone want to buy a kidney ?

For my case and everyone is different... It is 100x better. I can get you deca cheap but it not pharma or legal.

If you have to have pharma I can set you up with that too but it may be $60. Per 10 ml instead of $40

A true salesman, I appreciate that. Going to see how I fare with HGH as it's still new for me, then look into cortisone and/or at the same time, then go from there.

It was annoying over the phone for my initial phone screening. The receptionist was reading a generic medical questionnaire but wouldn't answer simple questions. If I am going to travel 10 hours for a 1 hour appointment I want to atleast be somewhat prepared.

That is good to keep in mind. My bandaid so far has been narcotics. After 2 years using them, it gets really old really fast. Even upgrading my bandaid to cortisone would be a short term victory to me. I'm hoping to get down to 8-16mg of Codeine by end of year and then 0 in new year.
