help me with my video capture/editing problems please
i need to capture streaming video. i have windows media player 9 and need like a program or record fucntion so that i can caputre streaming video and save it to a file.
if anyone can help me or show me where i can get the software prefferablly for free.

What kind of video are we talking about here and do you have a video capture card (of is this miniDV thru firewire?)
Personally I use Adobe Premiere 6.5 (definetly not free, *cough* K-Lite *cough*), but if you run WinXP, it has the MS Movie Editor built in.

im talking about software that can capture website streaming. ive got adobe premiare but am not sure how to use it can it capture website streams.

Hmmm I'm no specialist when it comes to ripping video streams off the web, but check out:
simple frame grabber that assembles a movie from a streaming video: http://www.thefab.net/articles/video_streaming.htm
A little more technical (downloads the actual stream, but not user friendly): http://lycos26486.l78.lycos.com.cn/default.htm
Adobe premiere is really an editing program... kinda like a home version of a TV studio. Awesome to take hours of crappy home movies and making a 15 minutes high quality DVD with cool transitions, titles and special effects.
