Finally Purchased a Vehicle!
After an entire summer of test drives, debates and coming oh-too-close to buying the wrong car, I finally purchased a vehicle last night. The final choice, you may ask? The 4x4 supercharged version of the Nissan Xterra. It doesn't have the performance of the Forester Turbo or the Murano, but still has a decent amount of zip. It looks dramatically better than the Forester (though not the murano, which I love aesthetically) and just seems to 'suit' me well. The final choice yesterday was really between the Xterra and the Murano (a SC'ed Xterra with all the options is pretty comparable in price to a base Murano (which was what I wanted because I don't fit in the moonroof version since you lose almost 2 inches of headroom). The Xterra won out because as I continued to look at the thing on the lot, it just seemed I'd have to be 28-32 years old looking to start a family and with a career to realistically be driving one of those Muranos every day. Now the next order of business is outfitting the thing with all kinds of cool gadgets: neoprene seats, brushbreakers, etc. Thanks again to all those who (patiently) offered feedback.

Great vehicle! My brother's best friend had one...he loved it! He could pull 2 sleds (snowmobiles for you southern folks) and still pass other cars like nothing. He did say that the gas consumption was ridiculous. Oh well.

Good choice, much better then buying a Ford Explorer. They are junk if you ask me. I think I actually have a post lingering in the archieves about all the problems I had with it.
Where's the pic of the new wheels?

Now all i need is a job and I'll have completed the passage into adulthood. Though I suspect after the fantasy football league results are in, ESPN will want to hire me as an analyst, so I'm not going to be looking in the meantime.

Bro I think they can built the damn things faster than it took you to pick one!
Well don't just sit there with that smuge look on your face, you now have to drive around the United States and Canada giving us all a ride. Might I suggest you swing down towards Florida, stop at Texas next, out to Cali then up north to the great white, you really don't want to have to zig-zag your way around.

Well guys, for all my journeys to dealerships around New England, I ended up buying one on Ebay from some dealership in New Jersey. No haggling, no talking, etc, etc, just won the auction. It was exactly what I wanted in every aspect but color (i wanted yellow or orange...something a little flashy, but ended up getting a copper-like color). The thing bluebooks for about 27,500 or so and I think I ended up paying 23,000 even. I'll attach a pic or two at the end.

That's one hell of a sweet ride there BG! I've always liked 4x4 type vehicles, especially the Cherokee's when I was a bit younger (16-17). I still like those kinds of cars, but prefer sports cars, Talons, Cougars, etc...
Very nice though! Some more pics would be great too Inside and out.
