Background Check on Lawyers?

Make a long story short: My friends sister says she's dating this lawyer or so he says he's a lawyer :rolleyes:
Funny thing is he doesn't have a job cuz he said he got fired from his old one, and that was like a year and a half ago. So something tells me that he's totally full of shit. Especially being he's 43 yrs old and he lives with his mom. There's more to the story but I won't get into it.
So my question is: Is there anyway I could check to see if he passed his bar, or is he licensed to practice law in PA? Like on a website or something?

You should be able to get a list of BAR graduates from somewhere. It has to be public record.
I'm bettin Big Green would know where to look as he's heading to that field.
