Just remember... boot camp is just one mental mind fuck, so just keep your head in the game and it will be over and you will get to the fleet.... if I remember right you were going to be an 03, that's where the shit happens, you will have a kick ass time. Be nice to your corpsman and he will take care of you and make sure you come back in one piece!
Also, learn to sleep with the sound of jets flying by every few minutes... MCRD is on the grounds of Lindbergh Field, better known as San Diego International Airport. There are many nights you will wish you had a seat on one of those planes. Also, Tabasco Sauce works great on ANY MRE they give you, and try to get the veggie ones, they are the best!
I could go on, but seriously, make a good time of it and we'll see you in the fleet!

Bro, I'll do my best in running the boar dwhile you're gone. I think you're one hell of a stand up guy. I'll pm ya my new address so you can write me while you're in boot. I'll write to ya, I know how important it is to get mail from the outside world while you're going through hell. Best of luck to ya and even though I'm Navy and you're becoming a marine, we're now becoming brothers in another family. Semper Fi brother..... when and if the time ever comes for you to go into a live fire situation... watch your ass and listen to your NCO's... they'll keep you alive. Good luck and God Bless for what you're doing. Stand tall and proud bro because not everyone can cut it as a Marine and that are willing to serve their country. We'll all be here waiting for your return.
