    Rant about Popups... @#@#!!!!

I know this has subject has been done before (months back)...and will probably been done even more until the day when MORONS learn how friggin' annoying and non-effective and stupid their efforts are!

I turned off my popup blocker and while surfing around, many pages that I came to still have these damn popups. How can people be so stupid to still have these?

Popups just annoy the hell out of people... How many red Xs can a person click in a days time!

The REAL MORONS are those that have a popup come up every time you go back to the same home page, they do not know how to code a one-time (or one per visit) popup. Those that haves a popup each time you click back to the main page are generally the ones that ask you to join their mailing list. Mostly on the so-called MARKETING or EBOOK sales sites -- people trying to make money off of telling you how to market (doing the same annoying $&@# that they are doing).

Then there are the other IDIOTS who have friggin' animations come across the screen when you are reading...like weather.com. You can even type in the damn city that you want to get the weather for, until the POP-UNDER page and/or the animation does it bullshit and gives the cursor focus back to the main page.

THIS IS THE CAUSE OF ROID RAGE.

What are your thoughts? While I go burn some incense and chant myself into a calm bliss (i.e. crack open a beer and forget I ever mentioned this).

Opera has some nice features, but still too primative for my use.

My firewall has popup blocking. I don't like having my searches tracked, so I don't use search-toolbars.

However, for those that don't mind their searches being tracked, then it is a good option - and free.

I have ad aware and keep it on but the SAME FUCKING ONES keep coming back even when I drag and drop it. OR the screen will just come up blank. I FUCKING HATE POP UPS more than I hate crabs....
I leave an internet page onscreen and an hour later, I have 20 ads on my screen.
Or I will be typing, looking at a paper I am writing, then look at the screen a minute later only to find that I typed NOTHING cause the ad popup took my cursor away.

Any suggestions on how to stop this cause apparently I am not using ad shield correctly. Speaking of which, there goes another popup piece of shit.
    I wish it was illegal

Oh that crap is annoying. Popups make me wanna throw my fing laptop through the window. I wish I could find the one person that came up with that idea, take him/her on a really long boat trip in which only I return. Its the most annoying shit in the world. Oh and the popups when youre trying to look at some good ole porn. Youre in the middle of your session and you have to use the damn free hand to erase popups. Oh the stuff the dumb ass computer nerds come up w/ to piss the honest internet using public off with....ugh.....

    I feel your pain bro...

It is amazing that the idiots keep running the damn popups from their site - they are rarely (if ever) liked.

They should just put a small banner (no blinking) on their site.

I see you're another happy customer of their's.

I've been waiting for someone on the TV news to make an announcement that the WHOLE WORLD hates them...

If I am using a search engine and click to a site and popups come up, I leave immediately.

I heard somewhere on these boards, maybe in this thread, that if you get netscape you get no popups.

I figureed out who invented pop ups!!!!
That same mother fucker who invented speed bumps. It has to be. Two different people cant think of two completely asnine things that annoy people to the very same extent.
Or it was that guy who invented that big foam NO. 1 hand that blocks your view at every game event you go to.

Gonna stick that big ass foam finger up his ass, tie him the road, use his body as a speed bump on the freeway, take pictures of it and have the pic POP UP on EVERY GOD DAMN COMPUTER IN THE WORLD......

Ahhhh. That would make me feel so much better. Honest.
