    Texas ChainSaw (the movie)

    I saw the movie last night. Anyone else see it yet?
    I thought it was really good, special effects were really good, lots of blood.

    Is it so over the top with gore it becomes funny or is it a real horror? Compared to the first is it better or worse?

    Saw friday when it came out. I liked it a lot. I'm a fan of the original, but you don't have to have seen the original to appreciate it. It's good shit. The guy who's playing Leatherface was Lattimer in "the Program." He was also in Any Given Sunday and Higher Learning.

    No I don't think they over did it w/ the gore, but yeah some scenes were pretty gorey.

    Saw it tonight, it made my girlfriend cry... fucking 10 bucks a piece. It was over the top gorey which made it good and it wasn't cheesy like the sequels. All in all it was good, but nothing will beat the first one.

    When you guys talk about "the first one" are u talking about the one made in 1974? If so, I don't see how you can compare these 2 movies. Movies back then were real cheasy in film quality etc.. compared to today's movies.

    Movies now a day's suck. It's only about $.

    Back then movies were about the entertainment.

    Low budget films like "The Shining", "Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Original)", Friday the 13th (Before they went out of style). Those are good films.

    Nothing out now a days can really hold a light to them.

    i dont have hairy pits naturally actually to answer your question and yes, i was cracking up througout the entire movie, that was excellent. As for the original, nothing can beat the terror of leather face slamming the butcher room door after dragging his victim inside. They tried to duplicate it in this one but it cant be beaten. This was still damn good though and one of the best remakes ive seen of a movie.

    Your kidding right? The movie is a joke. It was copied from bits and peices of the Ed Gein story. Then they made it out so it's a family of cannibals etc (Which the whole town seems to be related to). Then house of 1000 corpses this year copied Texas Chainsaw Massacare down to the bone.

    I went friday, some girl was sitting next to me and freaked out so bad she grabbed ahold of me sayin "my boy friends gone...so i'll just hang on to you now do you mind?" this girl was like 18 or 19. She thought i was in college and im a sophomore in high school. Other then that its a good movie

    i'll have to check for this movie later this week or something. i've got movie passes (i hate paying almost 10 bucks for a damn movie) but can't use them until the movie's been out for 10 days...i hate waiting...
