    Music affecting mood?

Do you get affected easily by different music?

Was just thinking about music and all the followers it spawns, like goth. Some people can just take a major turn and change lifestyle after listening to goth for a while

I also notice that if I listen to aggresiv or moody music a couple of days in a row I get pissy and angry alot easier. The more fucked upp the lyric is the stronger the effect.

Does music affect everyone alot more then we realise on a subconcious level?? But some gets WAY more influence by what they listen to then others.

Has there ever been a study done compering subliminal messages in music to subliminal messages in pictures, movies ect?

Of course music affects you mentally and physically...

Lift to rage against the machine, then lift to John Denver or Simon & Garfunkel... notice a difference?

Thats why when I am stuck in aggravating nasty traffic downtown, I always put on the classical music station. Mellows me out.

I was more thinking about long term effect of listening to a certain music. Not just the imidiet mood effect.

Like if you listen a couple of years to sic music where they sing about rape and shit like that would it make you a more aggresive person.
