car rims that dont move....need some help...
anybody seen those rims yet that stay totally still even when the car is moving?? i seen them in the gangsta girl rap video and they look awesome, the car will be driving at whatever speed but the rims dont rotate at all. they gotta be connected to some inner part of the car that doesnt turn with the tire. do any of u guys have any idea what im talking about or possibly have a name???

nah not spinners, its almost like the opposite, they are just locked in on position and the rims doesnt rotate at all even while the wheels turn

Ive seen them, they basically work on the oppisite idea of a spinning rim, the inner part of the rim rotates while the inside stays stationary...

It's nothign complicated. the outter part of the rim, the part you can see, rests on ball bearings. That way its inertia prevents it from moving. They don't work perfectly, there will be some motion.. especially during fast accelleration or deceleration.

Hey man the rims you are talking about might be Davins.http://www.davinwheels.com/2003/index.html
They were the original spinner makers I think. Now they have wheels with a black inside that makes it look like they arent spinning when the spinner part is not spinning. The site can explain better than I can.
