Just before I turned 30 I kind of freaked out because I partied so much and let the bar scene consume me. I seen everyone around me making achievements and I lost focus. Friends got married, careers, home owners, kids. So I stepped out of the bar scene and shunned off a lot of friends that I knew just werent any beneficial for me including the girls I was dating. I hermited for a few years to try and change things because I knew I had to. Now Im over 30 finishing up my degree finally and I just came back to a social life. Being over 30 I realized I have a fear of being alone. Getting older because I cant hang like I used to and the bar scene is a younger crowd now. Most women my age are gone, married, and taken or plane phyco's. Anyone under 30 looks at me like im old and I find dating more difficult. Probably because I care now..lol Before I didnt really care what happened I was having fun. Ironically it worked against me Im alone now. In all my years of partying I lost my focus and responsibility in college and career and hopefully I can make an impact in life like I was intended and change things.
My fear is I wont make it. At what? Anything, because nothing seems to be going my way and age and time shows no mercy.Last edited by LuvMyRoids; 11-30-2003 at 10:46 PM.

Over the years i have learned not to fear anything and can honestly say im not really affraid of anything. I would say my only fear would be becoming paralyzed in a drag racing accident or something of that nature i havent wrecked yet but watched many that have. Im sure once i have kids and a family i would fear many more things then that .

Heights is definitely one
speaking in front of large crowds
being in a situation like say an interview, and just freezing
when they ask you a simple little question and you don't quite
have the right wording.. It just makes you feel so stupid
(God how many F's I've taken in school just because of that)

I fear the possibility of not being a great father
I fear the truth that I won’t be what I want to become….

I fear not making an impact on the world, I can honestly say that I won't be happy if I don't feel like a changed the world for the better somehow? Strange hunh?
I'm afraid of being alone, not necessarily right now, but ending up alone. That scares the **** out of me.
I'm afraid of not Living. By this I mean, feeling like I've LIVED everyday, not just surviving until you die, which I see a lot of people doin.

Some of my fears:
Fear of any afterlife(although I am athiest).
Fear of losing my memory.
Fear of a world take over by anyone.
Fear of hurting my parents and sister; the only people I have ever loved.
Fear of too much knoweldge(ignorance is bliss).
I'm sure I have more but that's all I can think of. Nice topic Danielle and LuvMyRoids that was a good story thanks for sharing.

I fear not being a good dad. Everything else is worthless if you are not a good parent.

Good call. I’m way too young, but one of my secret life goals is to be an amazing father. Should one of my children pass away while I live, I might be devastated.
That little green thing on my shoulders is my head darn it. Thank you very much.

I also fear turning out like my dad....Being a worthless bastard in life, who ditches his child and mother because he made no effort to control his drinking problem whatsoever...God, I hope I don't turn out like him.

I fear...
... Lying on my death bed or being old and starting a sentence with " I wish I would've...."
... I also just as many others on here am afraid of not leaving a good impact on the world.
... And ever since an old friend killed himself when I was younger I'm afraid of loosing another friend that way.... so that's why I always do my best to be crazy and funny so no one else ever gets bored enough with life to do what he did.... and in the same respects I will NEVER blow off anyone or not listen to their problems.... Im not really scared of dying, but I'm scared of dying under certain circumstances, I don't want to die before I have kids, for some reason, natural instinct I suppose, I feel like I have to keep me going by having a kid. I always felt like I would die violently, being shot, or stabbed, or maybe even a car accident, so if thats true I don't want to die with no one around me I care about, at the same time I wouldn't want anyone I care about around me if it meant they were in danger. I used to have dreams all the time where I wold be stabbed or shot, they haunted me for a long long time.
Thats like what scares me in that sense, on the other hand it's snakes and heights!
