    i was doing calf raises on a box the other day and the DAM* thing slipped and I cut the crap out of both of my shins.

    Had the fine folks at my cardio-paradise gym pissed off at me for destroying one of their "step workout" platforms...

    It's the only thing in the gym I can use to do proper and DEEP standing calf raises... no spotters so I use the smith, load up 270-300 lbs (what? I'm not bigol!!! ) ant let her rip...

    Last time I did that, I felt the plastic from the platform kinda buckle... next thing I knew the front part of my feet went thru! Talk about messing up a set!

    Going to have to make myself a calf raise box with 2x4's and a 2x6 platform and leave it at the gym. I figure if I paint it pink, they won't even notice!

    I should be so lucky to have the whole gym watch in awe... then again I'd have to lift at the gym first. Anyway Bigol, theres a guy that posted in the members pic section today I think (I just saw it today) whos quads are HUGE!!! I don't know if his are actually bigger but it made me think of you after a cycle.

    hey I use one of those platforms... put it on the bench and have they other one on the floor and take the 150 db's and put em on my knees to do seated calf raise... we dont have a machine...

    Yeah the other day I was doing seated dumbell presses with 10lb db's and they were like **** go bro it's your birthday. The only time I get some looks is when I am doing barbell shrugs with 4 plates a side and that's by the super skinny ones.

    on a serious note: How many reps and sets Big at that weight? I streached the everlovin crap out of my left calve last friday morning. I thought it was only a cramp and only had another 4 reps to go so I pushed past it and finished the set. I finished the other sets but I had to reduce the weight to keep proper form.

    I ask you though bros, does anything burn worse than calves? I think not. hahahaha

    I do standing calvraises in the smith machine, i put a couple of plates on the box so it wont tip over. **** you could really hurt yourself if it did
