some people become so attached to their dogs that they are treated like humans in terms of what respect and thought they are given. had that been a human in an emergency vehicle who was in contact with a hospital about the incident doing that speed, no one would care

this was a true emergency, that cops an ass

Yeah. Im not sure what to make of it.

It seems like the cop should've just escorted them with lights/sirens.

But instead, took 20-30 minutes to write a ticket, as the dog laid there and died. Thats not cool.

I don't get attached to animals as much as others so i understand the cop when he says "its a dog you can get another one." The guy is risking other human lives because of his dog.

HOWEVER

I can totally understand that people get really attached to their pets and if i was that office i would have lead them to the hospital (with lights and sirens) at a fast but safe speed.

Exactly, try explaining to someones relative that there loved one was killed in a car crash because someone was driving recklessly to save a DOG!!!

The cop was in the wrong 100%. They should have took the pet to the hospital for them.
