    where is alberta.. is it close to edmington or calgary?

    Edmonton & Calgary are both IN Alberta.
    Alberta is the Province, Edmonton & Calgary are cities. Calgary is a few hours drive south of Edmonton and closer to the mountains.

    Big ol'.....Alberta is a far far away place. First we'll pretend you are at the center of the universe, ya know...NYC. Then you gotta go far, far west, way into the middle of but **** nowhere(also called BFN)to a deserted wasteland called Montana. Only then will you be able to appreciate how far away Alberta is. Once you have reached the dead center of BFN, Butte, can you make it to Calgary in a day's drive.
