What have you did with injuries?

Just think it would be interesting to post what you injuried and how long you were out of the gym (if you were out of the gym). Only because i broke my hand yet still been goin to the gym for 2 weeks, just went today to the docs for x-ray, they actually tried to put a cast on it, i wouldent let them because it would prevent me from holding a bar. Ive:

Broke 3 ribs - Wrestled for 2 weeks before going to the docs, wanted my ''W''
Broke nose twice - Was not out at all
Broke 5th meticarple - Current, dont plan on missing a work out
Broke a toe - still did my squats etc
Strained 7 vertibre - out of gym for 4 months or so

theres more just to much to remember after 3 concussions

Lower back injury, out for about 2 months...back in the day i was a junior olympic speedskater... Was training for a national competition in Colorado Springs at the olympic training center... I torqued a tendon off of my bone... it was basicly a muscle that wraped around my hip and connected in the inside of my femur bone... Was out 5 months of training...wheel chair for like 1.5 months and crutches for 3 months... It hurt...didn't get surgery,

Since i was young (15) i declined the surgery....since then if you pay attention to my walk, i sorta have a limp...

oh well...my 585 squat... hasn't been affected at all

Never broke any of my own bones.

Got a few bloody noses and sprains. Thats about it.

Amazing now that I think about it.

I think I had a herniated disc but it seems to have healed or just temporarily went away.

Yea... lol... i hear that, the only reason why is cause when the tendon seperated from the bone it reattached like a half inch higher then where it should be...so the only difference is i don't pick my leg up as high when i walk...hence my limp... but its only if your looking for it...lol

All of these happened in the last 15 months

Broke my 5th metatarcil in my right foot...took 3 months to heel and I could put no weight on it as the bone had to be scrwed into place.

One month after getting the cast off.
I completely tore my right calf muscle in a controlled fight in ju-jitsu testing. Took 2 months to heel, and my left calf is now deformed.

6 weeks after the calf heeled
I was hit from behind by a car while I waited at a stop light. The guy never hit his brakes, in fact he accidentally floored it as he hit me, instead of hitting the brakes. I then hit the car in front and all 3 cars were destroyed. I started taking yoga after 6 months out 2 months ago and started lifting VERY lightly 10 weeks ago, and I am now lifitng hard again after 8+ months since the accident. I still have not been able to return to martial arts because of the 3 herniated disks that I suffered from the accident..My recovery is 1+ years away wihtout surgery which I will not allow.

This next year has GOT to be better...lol

Now... other injuries during my life other than last year

    Broken wrist

    Broken right thumb 3x

    Broken left thumb

    Broken right ankle

Broken left ankle...one week after breaking the right one I fell down the stairs.

    Torn rotator cuff left shoulder

    Torn ACL left knee

    Torn ACL right knee

    Torn ligaments right ankle

Broke all of my fingers at least once several twice

3 broken ribs...all on the same kick

2 broken ribs from a car accident

Broken skull from a baseball bat to my forehead in a fight in a bar parking lot

    Broken tailbone

    Broken collar bone

    Broken nose 3 times

The great majority of these injuries happend when I was playing basketball when I was in middle, high school, and college. It is tough being the ony white boy on the team. Being the shortest one was even harder. I also am involved in martial arts and I boxed as an amatuer in AAU's whne I was 15-17. I am also a little older than most of you bros, so I have had more chances to hurt myself.
