    Question Help!!! Computer question...

Just singed on and had a warning window pop up saying my
PC was infected with a virus and named it Spyware???

    WTF is this s h i t ...?

I know about spy software for computers, but I don't see how
anyone could have installed it on my PC I just used it this morning
and it was fine and then tonight this virus warning pops up???

I have Windows XP and it simply had a box to click to delete it and
I did and it said it was deleted???

I did a search on my harddrive & files using the name as the search
    keyword and found nothing...

I have never heard of any B.S. like this and I'm pretty sharp with
computers, but have no clue what this is...

    Does anyone know what the f u c k this s h i t means???

    I'm paranoid enough as it is... I don't need this s h i t!!!

Did your anti viral software Quarantine the infected file or did you delete?

I have had problems with this in the past. I would advise that you install a program such as Ad-aware (which is free) and run it fairly often. I've not had any problems since I installed it on my computer.

There's a possibility that it was actually an internet explorer pop up that was made to look like a windows warning in order to get you to download whatever the website wanted you to. I recommend going to cnet and getting spybot.

Spybot, easy. I use it on all of my servers and have no conflicts and no problems either. One of the greatest programs available. And it is free!!

i use the combo of spywareblaster and spybot, together they keep out everything, i also have norton professional firewall installed, but the spy sh*t is way better, you just have to make sure you update it about every two weeks or so
