snoring roommate (loud as fuk)

My roommate falls asleep almost instantly, and there isn't a whole lot that wakes him, and he begins snoring loud as fuk as soon as he hits the sack. Sometimes its on and off snoring throughout the night, or sometimes the loudness of his snoring goes up and down throughout the night.

But anyways this is fuking stressing me the hell out. This shouldn't even be a source of stress for me, but its killing me. The dorms are so small that I can't even get away from it. We have a couple fans in our room that I turn up to HI to generate white noise, but I can still hear him even with both fans being quite loud. Anyways, I went to sleep about 10:30 pm and woke up at 9:10 and feel like a dam zombie because i couldn't sleep half the night (and i actually was fairly tired).

I know this has happened to some other people here, it has to have had to. How the hell do you cope with it?

Go buy you some of them relax tapes, you know like the tapes of rain and water flowing, and get you some head phones. I know it will be hard to sleep with head phones but it is worth a shot.

Eather that or just get some ear plugs.

The earplugs are a good idea..... also you can ask the guy to wear that tape that goes across the bridge of his nose to help him stop snoring.

Wait till he gets good and asleep then walk over with a pillow, put it over his face and smother his ass. Now don't kill but when he wakes up and says what the **** are you doing. Say Oh **** I must have been sleep walking. I do that when someone snores so loud and I can't get a good nights rest. Maybe he will get the hint and try something to help him quit snoring.

Perfect idea! Either that or blast his a$$ across the face and say you were sleepwalking and thought you were fighting someone in your dream.

You could save up all your farts and let them explode in his face while he sleeps. Eye for an eye.

Hell, just roll his ass over or stick a pillow over his head!!!

i would shave his head day by day till he does something about it.. people are usuly cool so just talk to him if not get some gasoline and matches and try to reason with him, again..

Ear plugs bro, or why are you still in the dorms, get off your ass and rent a house or apartment with a bunch of friends... I could only handle dorms for my first year!!!!!

First thing is to tell him to sleep on his stomach. That will decrease the possibility of him snoring once he gets used to sleeping on his stomach.

If the kid doesn’t even try, then there are a few things.

You must have a digital camera. He’s a heavy sleeper obviously. Take pictures of you tea bagin’ his face. Tell him you did it all night and will keep doing it until he rolls over so you can’t do it anymore. :dg:

I laughed out loud reading these replies.

I'll ask him to sleep on his stomach and hopefully that'll help. If that fails or he is just a dick and doesn't do it, I'll have to try the headphones or the earplug idea.

As for why I haven't gotten an apt, well I guess I'm just lazy. Of course it doesn't make it any easier that I don't have a car and 6" of snow, and piles of work to do. Its kinda weird though cuz I don't know any friends that are actually moving out, they're either already in an apt or their gonna stay in the dorms again. IDK, i should go look for an apt, i got about 2 weeks before i have to sign up for dorms for next year. It would be nice to have my own room and a kitchen, probably the only downside to apt's is you don't meet as many people.

And BTW I got a digital camera with me, so I'll def post pix if it comes to that, LOL.

tell your roomate to wear a breathrite strip on his nose, or put one on him when he falls asleep.

sleeping with or in the same room with someone who snores can be very difficult.....my ex used to snore alot........i usually just to turn over and punch him or hold his nose till he could take it.....lol........but most of the time, i found myself shutting the door and going to the couch.......cause it was that bad

i dont know about earplugs for myself........i cant sleep with any type of jewerly or earrings on, so i doubt i could ever sleep with earplugs stuck in my ears.........

I have to deal with this **** at the firehouse. One guy has a portable cpap machine. I have worn my ear protection I use at the shooting range. There have been fights over this crap. What pissed me off was the guy who says oh well, well he got a soaked roll of toilet paper upside the head while he was sleeping.

i gotta say earplugs too......my roommate used them last year......i didnt keep him up any time he used them..haha

Try the watersoaked tp to the head, or ductape.

I still say tea bag is face and photo graph it. That will keep him sleeping on his stomach.

Only if it's right after a leg workout and 1 hour of cardio.
