I need some companionship
Time to start looking for breeders. The recent rash of dog threads(on other boards) has inplanted a desire to buy my next best friend. I'll let you know if I'm heading to your town to pick her up.
I have a feeling my initial purchase is going to be painfull, but worthy

Akita are a good breed, 2 of my friends have had them. One thing I didnt like about them is that they are hyper and they whine alot. Great personality though! both dogs had a real beautifull face and coat.
Recently i just purchased a Bullmastiff. I **** you not! This one of the best dog breeds I have ever had in my life. Their great with kids, family protective, very docile when older, smart, I could go on and on. Check out that breed and I swear you would not be dissapointed. I bought mine from a breeder in Georgia. She is from Chamion lines, AKC, she came with all health clearances. I swear, I will continue to get these dogs for the rest of my life.abstrack@protonmail.com

as per my avatar, I love my two dogs. A basengi and a rhodisian ridgeback. I swear the basengi is the smartest dog I have ever seen, including all the labs my family used to raise for duck-hunting. this dog has learned to open cabinets (requiring me to child proof them), and uses subterfuge to get what it wants.
dogs are kickass

i have a boxer. the best part about a dog is that they never judge, nag, bitch, control, criticize, cry for no reason, have NASTY mood swings and all the rest of the "fun" things that our other "companions" do. good luck bro

That's cool Pheed. I was looking at getting a dog too, but my landlord forbids pets. I would think that an Akita would be a little uncomfortable in Texas with that thick coat. Have you ever checked out an Egyptian Pharoah Hound? They are great dogs, and look cool too.
