    Sunless tanner story..

    Ever wonder how sunless tanner was dicovered??? Well, if you have, i will enlighten you.


    Back in the late 1950's, a doctor by the name of Eva Wittgenstein was testing a chemica compound called DHA. She was using young toodlers as test subjects (this was b4 they used monkeys), and feeding them large quantities of DHA daily. Well, turns out that the DHA caused these poor kids to vomit like crazy. Being little babies and sh*t, they puked all over themselfs all the time. Over time, the Dr. realized the kids were getting "dirtier from the vomit" and yelled at the nurses fo not bathing the children properly. "They are so dirty, they are turning brown!!!" The nurses asured her they scrubbed and scrubbed, but it was not the vomit, or uncleanliness on their part. So, the smart doctor did another experiment, and applied the DHA solution on her own skin..Whatta ya know!!! It tanned!!

    So, further testing should that the DHA reacts with the protein in the dead skin cells on you skin. This reaction forms melanoidins; the same result of UV rays, and living skin cells.

    So, there you have it lil boys and girls. Funny part is, i swear this is all true. Learned it in chem class today.

    I remember hearing something like this from a chem teacher...and also said there were experiments with using iodine, etc for sunless tanning...but it has been yrs
