stop and listen for one day to all the spoiled child-like whining and fingerpointing that bush has to put up with every day. if you SERIOUSLY think about it can you tell me one good reason why bush should go?? and don't say iraq because we did what we should have done.

I have a question for Daddydbol. Will you agree that John Kerry served in Vietnam? I just did a little checking and did find that Bush wasn't AWOL during Vietnam. I was misinformed. I don't think Bush will be impeached, though I wish he would. I just happen to think that he's not doing a particularly great job as president. I've never met the man and he has a job I wouldn't want. Based upon the changes I've seen over his tenure I think new leadership is in order. Who is the right person for the job? I'm not sure yet. I like some of the things that John Edwards has to offer. He for one wants to do away with political lobbyists. Imagine the impact that would have on government. I liked some of the ideas Ralph Nader had. He wanted funding available for every college aged student to go to college. Can you imagine the impact that this would have on our economy in 10 to 20 years? I did receive some sort of tax refund in 2001 that Bush passed. If I remember it was like $163. I bought some whey protein. Am I living better now because of it. Nope. I do realize that changing people's minds is an exercise in futility (hey at least I got the right board cause we all like exercise) but I felt the need to express my views. Mark

Ok bro, I'm not sure what your question was but I'll start with the easiest. The tax refund was to stimulate the economy. Do you know how to do that? You have to put the money back into the consumers hand because when Peter buys something from Paul that reduces his stock so Paul goes and buys some more for John. John then in turn must replenish his inventory, hence more spending. Thats the cycle. It wasn't meant to improve your lifestyle. Thats the democrap coming out in you, always want the goverment to help improve your lifestyle. Why don't you work harder and get a raise and YOU improve your lifestyle. Thats how the US was founded and how we became the great country we are. Now heres a question for you - Why do the democrats keep trying to prove that Bush was wrong with the weapons of mass destruction? Would you rather have a dictator back that kills his own people?

here is a thought for us all, I am not sure you all are aware of actually how much of an idiot Al Gore really is, but check out his books, he is a ****ing puppet of a party with nothing better at the time. If he were elected, could you really see Al Gore gathering the nation together and kicking some ass? Hell no, all you people that say you wish he wasn't in office must realize what would have been there and that is a far worst predicament than the one we're in now.

amen brother...I don't think any of us will say that GB has done everything exactly like each of us would want...mainly because it would be impossible for all of us here to agree on each and every topic...compound that number into the millions in american...well you get the point...

He has done well with the hand he was given.

Im not even gonna read one single post in this thread. I am too busy with the other thread about voting for Bush. Cant you guys just consolidate into the same thread.
Same discussion, just different place. Next there will probably be a thread about IRAQ and if we should be there or not (absolutely no sarcasm on that one)

If Bush was impeached, we'd end up with the VP taking his place. He may be too intimately involved with oil and defense corporations, but at least he has a brain.

Every president has crazy people who plot to impeach 'em. I don't think it's ever a good idea unless he's done something really awful, and Bush, even though he's turned a budget surplus into the biggest deficit in history, and even though he's sent over 500 Americans to die in Iraq for nothing, hasn't reached that point yet. It's just the sort of political crap that both major parties generate . . .

I'm less interested in that than whether or not he can balance anything, like a budget.

tock, we are far past that. Our parent's parent's parents should have asked themselves that...think about it, there has been a lot that could have been prevented up until just this administration. Just because things suck at the present, some event in the past created it...think about that instead of blaming what you feel is most convienent for yourself.

Tock that was a little off.
Our spending on our non military budget only went up this year 1%. If my kids had to pay for something in the future, I would want it to be for there freedom not some lazy bastard to pretend like he was disabled and get paid SSI.

    =============

This war was not necessary, and the quickest way to resolve the terrorist mess is to resolve the Israeli/Palestinian problem.
But the big problem isn't necessarily the small rise in non-military spending, or the big rise in military spending, it's the debt that's been put on the National Credit Card.
Back in the early 90's around 15 cents for every dollar paid in taxes went to pay interest on the national debt, and an awful lot of that went to the foreigners who own Treasury Bonds. The way that the taxes and spending are going, we'll be paying more $$$ in interest to foreigners than that.

Republicans used to be for less government, less spending, less taxes. They ain't that way any more. Democrats used to be for more spending, more taxes. Fewer and fewer of 'em are for that as much as they used to be, but there ain't too many of 'em that's worth a ****, much less a vote.

In 15 years or so the US is gonna be in deep doo-doo as baby boomers start retiring and start to collect their Social Security. The only options the Congress is gonna have to deal with it is (1) sell more Treasury Bonds and put the expense on the National Credit Card, (2) reduce payments (yeah, right), and (3) increase payroll taxes to take up the slack. Yah, YOUR payroll taxes, to pay ME for sitting on my big fat Gay Ass . . .
I'm sure you'll find at least one of these options that meets with your approval . . .

Yah, the big problem is that taxes don't cover what the politicians are spending. That's not a good thing.

Now lets not be starting any rumors about us

on the spending thing I will heartily agree with you - sad to say, when one party gets in power, whoever it is, they become less donkeys or elephants and more like pigs. Worst problem is that the republicans are spending to destroy the dem party while the dems critisize them for not spending enough to fund nirvana here on earth!!!

I know this is dead but bro whats that crap about 500 Americans sent to die for nothing? You must be as stupid as your family looks in your av, they died defending us and our way of life you dumb f*ck. I can't believe that someone would even say that, where are you from, france? Those people that had to decide weather to jump to their deaths or burn alive is nothing to you? I guess you didn't loose anyone on 9-11 even though by the looks of your family a little cleaning of the gene pool might not be such a bad idea. This is meant as a flame because I can't believe any human on this earth that has a brain can say that those soilders are getting killed for nothing. It saddens me to think that scum like you get to benefit in what they are doing over there while your little a s s is sitting over here saying that they are accomplishing nothing. Unbelievable.

ewwww, I won't touch that. Tock yes, I will be paying for YOU to retire. But since you have such a huge problem with republicans and how they spend money, lets think of the dumbasses who signed the bill for social security in the first place....DEMOCRATS, you're beloved party. They ****ed us in the ass the second they signed that bill back in the 30's. Yeah, I'll be paying for it...I've come to accept that, yeah it sucks, but what does this administration and its spending on DEFENSE have to do with social security problems? That is why I don't understand you. You want to bash this administration for having to spend money on defense when we were forced to. What were we suppose to do when we got bombed/attacked and lost 6,000 people in a couple hours to terrorists? Sit around and say, hey, lets just fix Isreal. You got to be kidding me. I don't see how you can be pissy when WE as a nation were attacked and had to go up in arms...and it wasn't like we were attacked at some foreign embassy, it was here. You got some sort of brain fart and can't see past the negative liberal headlines to realize why we're in the postion we are in the first place, not just military spending, but the defecit, social security, income tax and yada yada yada that was set in place long before you and I were born.

Worst problem is that the republicans are spending to destroy the dem party while the dems critisize them for not spending enough to fund nirvana here on earth!!!
