I don't need an extension - I am trying to get the overseas tax payer deduction. But it says (so it seems) I have to be working overseas for 330 consecutive days... and the only exemption for less than that is if you are forced to leave due to civil unrest. But I wasn't forced to leave - I am still overseas...

When I was out of country for well over a year,I didn't have to file at all.But I wasn't working for an American company so that might be the difference.

Yeah - its an Amercan company. But they don't take any taxes out my check, since i am overseas... thats why I was trying to figure out how the hell I am suppose to file this... sounds like doing the extension is the route to go...
