What would you do to your kid if he did this?

I have a little brother that's 5 and my parents let the kids get away with murder. My little brother got ahold of a can of orange spray paint and tagged EVERYTHING! He sprayed the dog , my mom's car , the house and multiple other things. If I did that as a kid, my father would've torn my ass apart! I don't even think they scolded him. WTF!?!

If he was my kid I would've torn his ass apart, too. But I guess that's just the way I was brought up. How about you guys?

The car I would have been pissed about. The dog I would have laughed at. I would just spray paint the kid and all of his toys and clothes. Make him go to school with orange clothes and play with orange toys for a year. That would make him regret it.

my father would have beat my a$$, and that would have been AFTER he shoved the can of spray paint up there!!! i can't believe how some people let their kids do the most hellacious things and then smile at them as if they were the second coming of christ!! not necessarily directed at your lil bro ,symian, but when i hear a story like that i just get flashbacks of all the kids i've seen in restaurants or stores getting away with all sorts of things....screaming, cursing at parents, destroying things, etc....and the parents just look around like 'gee isn't he/she the cutest?'
to answer your question, if it were my kid he would have cleaned it up after getting his butt warmed up a bit...

    5 years old is tough...

you have to ask... did he know it was wrong.. my kids only wrote on a wall 1 time... if that tells ya anything..

and why was he left alone so long that he had access to a spray paint can and could do that much damage..

kids are alot like dogs... (at that age) they have to be reminded why they are being punished. extended Humiliation is not a good tool..

Whip his ass... and then make him clean everything.. (*but that would take time from you)

I'm blessed with a kid who seldom does stupid things... but when he does (hey boys are boys!) he gets grounded...

Grounded in my house means go to your room and no TV, no video games or gameboy, no playing, no phone... he gets to do 2 things when grounded... if he messed up badly he has to do lines, lots of them... and if it's not too bad, he is allowed to read his books (mostly educational books about nature or stuff like that).

I am not one for serious spanking, but I do believe it is sometimes necessary to establish "who'se the boss" in the house. But between "no TV for a week" and a spanking, I think the no-tv is a lot more painfull for the kid

    Good one Red....

I last spanked my daughter at age 3..... she did something.. dumb.. that she knew she shouldn't have, i promptly swatted her... she looked at me and said..."that didn't hurt"... then she got the last spanking of her life.. (don't worry, i just grabbed one hand holding her onto her tip toes and spanked her as she danced around in a circle trying to get away.. an old fashioned southern switching.. but no switch)

after that... i put her beside the tv and the rest of the family would watch her favorite show.. while she could watch us... but not the tv...

that way she had immediate discipline, and it was over in 30 minutes..

    Peace

Shove a broomstick up his ass and cut off his eyebrowns and take pictures and let them circulate the kindergarden so everyone would laugh at him.

For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire Pig, just to get a little sausage.

thats perfect, i agree with that too, my sister is 7 and she doesnt listen to a thing she is told, one time i just got fed up with my step mom and dad telling her to do her homework. she's kept saying no. so i grabbed her, threw her in her room with her homework and took out her tv. i told her, you dont get the tv back till you do your homework. well wouldnt you know, as i turn around to leave the room with her tv. she's on the ground doing the homework. i guess cause im still young i know what would piss me off the most, and its taking away stuff. no tv, no candy, groundings, stuff like that.

its the only thing that would piss me off as a kid, my mom used to hit me but id just laugh at her the whole time, cause it never really hurt, well it did hurt when she pulled me home by my hair.. but thats another story

I myself wouldnt be alive to even be carrying on this conversation. But, I think this is GREAT! Effective, but doesnt involve abuse. LOL

If I would have done that as a kid I would have be in a coma.... seriuosly. I was beat as a kid and now that I have kids I disipline them in any other way than physical. I know how it feels and would never want my son or daughter to feel that way. My wife does spank my son if he needs it, and I dont object, but thats not the way that I punish.

dude i use to get BEAT, of course i did stupid stuff that deserved it but seriouslly i got abused i got my ass kicked once with an extension cord, of course i never did what i did ever again. but i have to go with red ketchup, because if i did something really bad i would not only get my ass whooped and have no tv or something which was worse, i would have rather had my ass whooped for a few minutes and have it be over than no tv for a week!!

If I did that...my stepdad would have ripped me in half..Real mean guy, took heroin now and then, but I didnt know what it was.....could be real abbusive sometimes..not towards me, my mom..But when the mother wasn't around it was me...but that was very rare...He died from a heart attack when I turned 9.
