A-Rod to Yankees....?

Just wondering how many of you guys heard of the trade for a-rod to the yankees as a third baseman? To all of us red sox fans to me this is not good, but yankees have NO pitching so we shouldn't be that bad. The trade is supposedly for the yankees second baseman alfonso soriano and another player to be named. just so everyone knows it has not been finalized yet but is soon to be.

NO pitching? Vasquez is awesome but is unproven and brown is awesome if he's healthy, mike mussina is a pitching god but i do admit the yanks really need another starter bad. Contreras just fell apart on us last year I hope that he gets his head together this season.

The Red Sox should have known that as soon as the A-Rod, Man-Ram trade fell threw George would be there to pick up the pieces. The Red Sox shoot themselves in the foot again. However, I think the Red Sox will be better than the Yankees this year.

you just say that because you are a yankees fan. They just got rid of 2 of their aces, red sox just added 2 great additions to their bull pen we have the pitching to shut down the yanks it just a bigger concern with arod and jeter but pedro can go 20 plus innings and throw 12k's a game, especially with folk closing come on dude yankees got nothing on red sox for pitching. you gotta admit we fixed our pitching problem very nicely.

Yeah you guys got a great pitching staff I dont deny that. It's probably one of the best clubs the sox ever had. This year its gonna be close and tight and one major thing is the Yanks have some diesel hitters on their club and so does Boston. I think overall the yanks have a little better hitting while the sox have somewhat better pitching. We'll have to wait and see what happens during the season but i dont think any of us will be disappointed with the competition this year.

espn did a comparison between pettite/clemens and brown/vasquez and aside from wins and losses, which can be explained from the teams they were on, brown and vasquez turned out to be better than pettite/clemens stat wise, also right now, i'd take contreras over wells, so in reality, i think the yankees have a better rotation than they did last year, with a big ? if brown can stay healthy, they'll have to baby him like the sox baby martinez

Bud Selig is the only one who is now standing in the way of the yankees getting A-rod. He's the baseball commissioner and has to approve the deal before he finally goes. The players association was the other obstacle but they just approved the deal today. So now only Selig stands between us and a-rod.
