Me and my girlfriend recently seperated. I went out with a friend to 6th street in austin the other night. Hooked up with a friend of his friend. We messed around that night, she was pretty drunk. I got her aol sn and imed her a few days later. Tonite we went out to dinner and a movie i figured it would be easy since we already messed around before. Got the cold shoulder or something. No contact whatsoever no goodbye kiss didn't even hold my hand. Sat with her arms crossed in the movie the whole time even though i had mine on the arm rest.... so i figured she isn't interested which is now driving me nuts bc she's not all that hot and i think i'm better looking than her(not to be cocky). I get home and check her aim and her away msg says: oh and i had fun tonight..the movie and dinner was great, night!

WTF?!? Now I'm stuck wondering if she's just reallyr eally shy when not drunk or jsut being nice.... i hate dating, i was so tempted to call the ex up tonite, thankfully i didn't.... sorry had to vent.

I feel your pain, bro. I don't know what the hell is wrong with the women over here in Beaumont, but they suck! I swear this area breeds stuck up women or somethin'. My buddy and I'll go out and get some numbers. We'll call a couple days later, maybe go out, and then nothing. They'll blow us off or stand us up, and then call later like nothing happened.

And we're like WTF!?! And most of these girls aren't even worth it, but they think they're something special, and that we should be waiting by the phone ready for thier beckon call. F*** THAT!

So now I just stay single and spend all MY money on ME

yea, last weekend at the bar, this girl i know, who likes me when she drunk and plays hard to get when she aint smashed.. Anyway.. I left my cell phone in the car.. She wanted to exchange #s, I told her my phone was in my car.. So i told her to take my # and to call me the next night... Well i get half way through giving my # and she says to me, " why are you giving me your #... I should be giving you my #"... I was thinking, ' shut the hell up bitch' but said 'i dont got my phone with me'... And she is not even that pretty... Shes ok if your drunk, but thats it.. I wouldnt even sleep with her "if and when" after I bang her... It would only be a sport drunk ****... She walks like she is a princess, and she is sooo far from it... She has freckles all on her face, chest, and back... I mean what a turn off.. And her hair is lost in the 1980's... Girls are strange... I think i know why they(non hot ones) act hard to get... Actually my impression is she is shy. Playing hard to get and being a tease dont really relate to keeping your arms crossed wathcing a movie and not talking.

Its one of those things where you wanna have a good time but dont know what the other person is thinking and then it gets awkward for both people. Both people tend to step back to avoid being shot down or what not. So the whole date is quiet because both think the other is not having a good time. Then once they are home they can safely talk about it without worrying about rejection or what not.

Im more talkative when I am drunk. Liquid courage and just not caring if the girl likes me or not. Either way, when I am really drunk, I am gonna have a good time no matter what people think. I would guess she was the same way. She liked you, was drunk and was able to express it without worrying about rejection.

I agree with Berm. I think she is a bit shy. Alcohol lets us open up way more than we might sober. I am not "shy" but slightly reserved....especially when it comes to a man that I am interested in. When I have a couple drinks in me.....I am much braver about approaching someone. When you have that liquid courage, you tend to put your inhibitions aside and let yourself do things that you might not consider wise sober. Sober she worries that you like her for her, have respect for her...etc. I think that she probably appreciated the fact that you acted like a gentleman as opposed to a test ridden hard on. She was probably a little worried that because you had messed around before you would expect it again and get upset if you didn't get round two.

Try investing a little time and get to know her. If you want something other than a fcuk buddy. Show her some respect.....and dating might just "blow" in a good way.

If you just want an easy lay....go back to the bar around closing time...I'm sure you'll find a couple ready willing and able.

I was just reading this thread and I am really pissed off. You guys act like you have never done this to any girls before. Why is it that you get all upset and have to call her a bitch becasue she gave you the cold shoulder? Maybe she was playing you, but IMO there are many girls who are out there for a one night stand just like you probably are most of the time. It seems like most of you guys do this all the time, and now the tables are turned because a girl is playing you. Maybe you should start to expect this from a girl instead of thinking that she is going to obsess over you. I'm sure she didn't mean you. You had a nice reply. I guess those of us that don't play games get a bit sick of men generalizing about "women". She had a good point. There aren't very many men that can say that they haven't been guilty of doing the "hit and run" routine once or twice.

90% of women under the age of 24-25 play games. End of story. The other 10%, well you're not going to find them at a bar or a club, that's for d*mn sure. And if you're looking for women over the 30 mark, you don't have to worry about games at all. But if you're looking for girls in that younger age catagory, be prepared to put up with a lot of BS, because it comes in truckloads.... The majority of them don't know how to act any other way, because they haven't figured out what they really want in life yet. All the games are part of that self discovery process that everyone has to go through, even men....

Its true that they look older and maturity in certain areas but T is right about not knowing how to deal with relationships. Same goes for guys though only guys are too sexually immature to know whats going on. Hell if I knew what I know now, I would have been getting laid once a day every day when I was 16. Its just that at that age and usually up until 22, most guys arent mature enough either to handle a relationship.
Cant pin it all on the girls. Guys now a days act like retards around girls. So the 22 year old girls cant relate to a 22 year old guy cause the guy is probably still into highschool pranks and what not. So the 22 year old girl thinks finding a 27 year old man will be the solution when in fact, she has nothing to guage how she acts other than her experiences with that last 22 year old immature guy.

There is always someone in life you can relate to and be happy with whether you just want a hooker type chick to bang and not have a commitment with or a nice cute girl that is there for you.
Just have to kick back and stop looking. Focus on your life and then things fall into place. Ive found that when I fill up all my free time with my "OWN" events, I run into a girl that makes me reschedule and miss out on those things I just got used to.

And when I just stay in a rut with nothing to do except go home and watch tv, I dont run into anything. Murpheys law I guess. You get everything all at once with nowhere to put it, or you get nothing because you have everywhere to put something.

This is no doubt in my mind how it always is. If someone is happy with themselves and is content in being by themselves then it makes them that much more attractive. JMO

I understand what you're saying, and I didn't mean to generalize my comments. In the four years that I was in the military I never had a problem with meeting good girls. Now that I'm home, all the women I've meet are out to play games or some crap. I have meet some good girls, but they get snatched up real quick

. I just want to meet a sweet girl who knows what she wants, and wants to share part of her life with me.

Maybe my problem is that the only place I've meet women are at the bars and clubs, but hopefully I'll meet someone when I start school this summer. It just gets frustrating, and when the last 9 out of 10 women pull this crap, you start to give up.

No offense taken CB. The difference btwn a WOMEN and a girl has nothing to do w/ her age; it has to do w/ her maturity. I know females who are 40 and act like they're still 25, and I know some females who are 19 and act like they're 22+. It differs from person to person. The same concept goes w/ males. It's not the age that makes them a MAN it is how they act and carry themselves. As far as not being able to meet a quality person at a bar, I disagree w/ that. There are exceptions to every rule. I know some amazing people and even they go out to bars every now and then. Just because they're at a bar doesn't mean their self worth has just been minimized. Sure, it might not be the best environment to meet someone you want to have a relationship w/ because most people go to bars looking to "get some." It all depends if you can still connect w/ someone outside of that atmosphere. Don't get me wrong, your odds of finding a decent human being outside of a club are much better.
