undergroundfreakzforlife may have a piece of spyware
can someone who is literate in computers confirm this for me - during signup at this site it attempts to download a piece of spyware onto your computer.
I kept wondering why MKRD was pushing his board after being repeatedly asked not to and I am now guessing this is why - those who have signed up there please take care.
As all of you know AR is brothers with many boards and we welcome others to come from or check out other places but this smells somehow and I do want ot protect our members.

I am a memeber there.. i remember when i signed up.. it does have a piece that tried to install.. but i denied it..
and i just ran a scan on my computer... it isn't there..
It is possible.. try spysweeper software... www.cnet.com free download..
it's alittle different than adaware... works a little better..
You should change your security settings on your browser to medium or high.. that will stop alot of the issues..

Wow no doubt. I signed up there but Im not sure if thats what happened to me I dont remember. I registered, posted a bit, then never really came back. So many boards out there I cant remember one from another anymore. Thats interesting info though Cycleon. Thanks for looking out.

Thats why the little scum is trying to get people to sign up on his board - I wonder what the spyware is there to do - guys please get out the word to others so that they dont make the same mistake and thier be a password logger or something like that

lads download spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/ and run it every 3-4 days, that will clean your computer up of spyware.

hey, thanks for the heads up.
Also, I don't recall any spyware trying to download but I run windows washer every couple of days along with the spybot software and clean the cookies and junk up.

wait..stop...And I mean STOP!! switch to spybot...and get the updates..best program out there. It also has the option to block the ads from down loading..I use it on all of my servers, and everyones computer here at work to keep them up and running..the idoits I work woth download so much crap it is unbelievable..

Yes.... the reason it says that is that it will and can write to your systems files, but only after you do the scan.. and it runs at start up if you choose......

Thats spysweeper worked awesome, I had so much adware on my computer it was silly.. It was almost like cleaning your ears with a Q-tip, and you almost get that ticklish clean feeling you know?

u guys say there spyware and yet all of u D/L the anti spyware program and find nothing on the underground....during signup there is absoultely no downloading of any piece of spyware. theres absoultely no truth in these rumors

Basically this is a spyware cookie - now this type seems to be used mostly by advertisers so they can track where you go on the web and more importantly how often you return to their site but it can do a lot of things to grab identifying info if you configure it that way. Maybe MRKD is using it only to try to drum up people to go to his site - but it is pretty crummy not to tell people - it could be used more harmfully but I would like to think it probably isnt.
Yung Wun - you are a good fellow from any experience Ihave ever had with you or heard of you and there are supposed to be some other good people on that board - If I were you i would get ahold of MKRD and shut him up before he ruins all of your reputations - since we canned him here I have had 3 admins from other boards PM me telling me that they booted him as well for other reasons - i dont know why and I dont care really -but there is something about the fellow that needs help - keep him on your board but if you want someone to drum up business for your board I suggest that you keep him well away from everyone else

I just went to a different computer in my house, registered under a different name, then ran spybot and found nothing absolutely nothing. While registering it did not try to install anything. Has anyone really found anything here.
