    Question Bout Contact Lenses...

    Soup ya'll,

Alright, dunno if there are eye doctors on the board, or people who know a lot about lenses and wut not. Anywho, I wear contact lenses right, and have that **** stigmatism **** with my eyes. Now, I found a site online that sells lenses for much cheaper than my eye doctor was selling it to me. Now, my prescription "base curve" is 8.6 and my "diameter" is 14.4, and I use a brand named "Encore."

Now, I looked into colour contact lenses, and those ones have a "diamete" of 14.5. Now, without going back to the eye doctor and having to ask him, I was wondering if anyone on the board new (for certain) whether there is a any difference between wearing 14.4 and 14.5 lenses.

    Thanks,
    T.

I buy replacement contacts on the web and they charge about a 1/4 of what my eye doctor charges. But these are your eyes. You don't want to **** around with them. Match your prescription word for word.

If you can afford it look into LASIK surgery. I got it a several years ago and presto, no more glasses or contacts.

yeah there is a difference, i don't think it would matter much for someone without astygmatism, but i wouldn't risk it for you, don't you have a vision plan that covers cost of lenses?
